  1. Cheers for the replies lads. AirgunGuy, -she's collie/grey X deer/grey.
  2. You surprised me with that mate.
  3. Saluki Whippet Greyhound mate Cheers mate, wouldn't have guessed that.
  4. Each to there own mate but I've never seen any value in slipping a youngster with an older dog, too many negatives in it for me. But like I say each man has his own way.
  5. Had a look out earlier with my son Dylan and Molly, after all the rain we've had the fields were a mess especially the ones with cattle in them. The rabbits were few and far between, we walked about for an hour and twenty minutes and in that time the bitch had six runs and accounted for all of them even though the last one turned her inside out up the fenceline, eventually however she picked it up. One thing we did see a lot of tonight was Woodcock, must've seen over thirty of them tonight.
  6. Some line up of rabbits in that bottom pic lads, well done.
  7. That's good advice, never been a fan of running dogs doubled up especially on the beam.

  11. DAZ MY 1ST CHOICE WOULD BE A SAL/WHIP BUT THERES NONE ABOUT HERE ANYMORE.I KNOW A BOY WITH 3 SAL/GREWS BUT THERE FAR TO BIG FOR ME 26IN DOGS. MY WEE BITCH IS 21IN AND THATS THE SIZE I WANT. WHAT ABOUT YOU DO YOU KNOW ANYONE,LOCAL. GERZ Not being funny mate but do you know what you want? In your original thread you said one of your options was "TRACK GREW WICH IS RACING AT THE WKEND AT SHAWFIELD" now your saying a 26" dog is too big.
  12. The lamp in the link has a 400 metre beam not 140m, the 140mm is the diameter of the lamp head. If you're powering the lamp off a 12volt battery you'll need to use a 12 volt bulb so the answer to your question about bulbs will be no.
  13. First two are too young for me, not sure what the last will add to the litter so no again and to be honest I'm not sure I like the sound of the third, would need to know more about his temperament etc. There has to be more and better options near you, Is there no a lad in Ayrshire with a Whippet/Greyhound that's a really good animal and has sired pups already? Sure I've seen pics of it on here before. My mate has a saluki/grey x saluki/whip about 9-10 years old that's sired a few litters, a very good dog in his prime. There's bound to be others out there aswell. Hope you find what yo
  14. Aye there's such a thing as muzzles for ferrets but I would think using them will only add to your problem. Your hobs will come across a rabbit that won't bolt and with a muzzle on they won't be able to kill it and move on so will probably work away at it for ages with their feet meaning an even longer wait for you. For the reasons Tomo says above ferret muzzles are a no no.
  15. The gun is still here mate, I'll pm you. Tried to pm you but it says you can't use the pm system.
  16. is durateston a tablet or injection ? Do u have to give it them before they start to bleed Laurabolin is a steroid with a suppressant side effect . It's the best one which may inhance performance and recovery rate . You might have problems getting a bitch in pup until she has had at least one clear cycle though ! cheers, is that just a one off injection then 1m every 28 days Dosage depends on the strength of the Laurabolin, single strength 25mg/ml the dosage is 1ml per 28 days, the double strength Laurabolin 50mg/ml is .5ml per 28 days. Used it on the greyhounds on the flaps for y
  17. Could it be what they call "knuckling over"? http://www.google.co.uk/search?sourceid=navclient&ie=UTF-8&rlz=1T4ADFA_enGB403GB403&q=knuckling+over+in+puppies
  18. you cant get something out of a dog that nature didnt allready put there though if a dogs not got enough pace you cant do anything to its legs to make it run faster if its no wind you cant inflate its lungs more if its no heart you cant whisper in its ear to be more courageous and so on but a good owner will get the best out of whats there and know when to quit flogging a dead horse as well Totally agree.
  19. Did you come up with the idea for the thread all by yourself? Or maybe there's been a similair one. http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/270885-is-this-too-much-for-9-weeks-old-pup/
  20. You can put all the effort you want into a bag o' shit, it'll still remain a bag o' shit.
