  1. That would be my opinion also When does pest control stop being pest control and more all out slaughter? I can remember a shooter who lives near me commenting on a stunning buck he had seen, 'fantastic head, in it's prime' etc etc. He was gutted he did not have his gun with him at the time. I can remember thinking, should it not be left to breed to produce more good healthy offspring rather than killing him...or do i have it wrong?
  2. My Staff/whippet is the same, driven to the hilt to find what she wants, no matter what she has to get through to get at it. As Sky said, when they get used to going into cover to get what they want, i use key words...for me it's just 'Get in' and i can put them into any cover to look.
  3. A terrier which is not from hard digging lines, and train it not to go to ground, or good recall so if it does you can get it back out
  4. Dead common for dogs to act differently around other dogs, not even just strange ones. My 2 terrier bitches, when they are together they compete like mad, one always wants to be in front of the other. Take them out without the other terrier and they are much steadier, even with strange dogs.
  5. Tea on keyboard moment
  6. I think my favourite of all is a roast chicken dinner, with buttery mashed pots, turnip, carrots, roast parsnip and any other veg. With bread sauce and yorkshire puds
  7. If i do it on high, i would have to add the meat later, as it ends up over cooked and just drops to pieces. I just want to be able to throw everything in like other folks do I might try doing some veg later, on it's own and see what happens, how long etc It was my cooker. Got my sis's old one and it cooks the veg perfectly
  8. Poor Rude boys whole body is covered in air.
  9. More to do with the drive of an individual dog, than a breed/type.
  10. It's cos she is a puppy, just typical puppy behaviour, nowt to do with it being a bull cross. Usually the older dogs will tell a pup off when it is getting too much, sounds like your springer bitch is not....or not telling it hard enough. If they are kennelled together the springer is the pups only source of amusement. If it continues and the springer does decide to turn on the pup when it is older, you will end up with a kennel fight or worse. I dont know the best way of solving this in a kennel situation, mine are in the house so i can get on top of it from when they are young. But i would
  11. I forgot, then i remembered, then i thought i would let you tell the tale

  15. Just one brief love affair and you know her so well Her own worst enemy, poor lass.
  16. She accounted for one, and helped with a good few others Believe it or not she had to be put away in the car, she has a habit of scenting up, going away and off to ground, she is so small she can get in rabbit holes
  17. Your darling was the usual 'bull in a china shop'...paying for it now though.
  18. Last February we had only one day on the rats, the shock came that the land was to be sold off, the gamekeeper out of a job. Although it was really sad we would not to see that kind of ratting again, i had to keep my cup half full and just count myself lucky to have been part of it, to see that amount of rats is rare and a massive priviledge, and i had only been part of it all thanks to Bulter from here So when i got a telephone call to say Butler has been contacted and ratters were needed back there...and could i go, Mmmmm let me see I nearly wet my knickers with excitement So
  19. Just though of a problem with that... Who would hear me
