  1. I'm busy trapping the gardens of a cottage, and have never encountered this problem before...sandstone seams under the ground, they range from an inch down to more under the surface of the lawn. Very hard to find the tunnels in places. Any hints and tips please?

  7. What the fook is that ferret doing in the background it was a bad attempt at taxidermy i leave it to the pro`s now, but leave that there just to remind me not to try again  I bet life with you is never boring
  8. Definitely some food for thought there, i must polish up my lots retrieving soon. I know other people who use narrow side paths for retrieving and jumping with good effect
  9. No, not feeding anymore Paul, most of the feeders are back in store now. This shoot is huge, and i mean MASSIVE, all different types of cover crop. There are just so many rats here you don't need to leave food out there was definitly some rather large rats there moll on the shoots here as soon as the food stops and the weather turns they all head for the farm buildings They would have to cover a fair few miles to get back there on this place Paul Ive never seen such fat healthy rats before in my life, they are getting the best quality food, plus i imagine the worm treatment e
  10. When i quote other posts on this topic (above), they are not coming out right, can other people see it or is it just me?

  13. Can Mods please move this into the terrier section, and remove the old one....IanB knows why i put it in here....to see if it would work
  14. As in less people/dogs but more rats. Today was a much better day weather wise, at least the lads could actually get a spade through the soil today. Fantastic start to the day, Neil was making bacon butties and tea when we pulled up at 9am, a very welcome treat after a 2.5hr drive It was slow going i think the most we got out of a set was 8 and the least 1, but thanks to Keepa we never dug an empty set. It was good to have Rude boy back on his first trip out for nearly a month, very few bolters made it to saftey.. And he only went and did it again, thankfully no keeper
  15. That is a real pretty bird Stu
  16. He is one STUNNING lurcher Jim, i would love him
  17. Can i be your imaginary friend.. If Ive told you once, Ive told you a thousand times, i'm not playing with you in the woods..... Pervert
  18. I wasn't allowed a dog as a kid. When i was really young our house backed onto the woods and river, spent all of my time playing there as a kid with my imaginary companions.....a greyhound and a badger So perhaps your imaginary friends can also define the rest of your life
  19. Do you think a greyhound raised from a pup like a lurcher (Instead of like a greyhound) meaning.... it is able to run in the open on different types of land as it grows. Would be less accident prone than one brought in as a failed racer. I have never owned a racing grey before but i doubt they are out and about daily off the lead mooching from being a pup?
  20. Get an up to date photo of him please Jim
  21. My black bitch used you took terrible, her fur used to go a gingery brown if.... She was moulting, or needed worming. Regular grooming will help sort out the coat
