  1. Thank you very much for looking Rake Even if it was some kid's or vandals....not that it is a place you would ever find them, i think they would be more inclined to write obscenties. Paulus...two Christmases agao there were anti hunt posters put on some of the trees telling people the boxing day hunt was illegal if they chased fox etc etc. I just cannot remember what organisation it was. There are two elderly people in a cottage near that lodge absolutely terrified now
  2. The woods between the lodge and the drive up to Pat's, (Behind the gardeners hut) looks that that was their entry...even more scarey!
  3. No Mooch, the owner wants it kept low key. All windows on one side smashed, grafitti on another (Both sides hidden from the main house) The grafitti was on several paint work panels under the windows, looked like (But might not have been) an 'x' a 'B' something else i could not make out and two no entry signs side by side. I was working in the lodge on Tuesday, also do the moles and lamping around it, so i am quite wary now, especially that somewhere so remote may have been targeted.
  4. Is there any organisations who use the 'no-entry' circle with a line through it as their trade mark? May not be anti, but it was a shooting lodge which was targeted.
  5. Dandruff is quite commonly seen on a growing black pup Marv, nowt to worry about it will go away in time
  6. Firstly....I WANT THAT PUP Remember catching live rats and releasing them for dogs is classed as baiting so it is illegal Dont start it on rats till it's adult teeth are through. He sound feisty enough for the job, but he needs the tools to do the job properly. And you dont want him getting bitten as a pup then being hesitant around rats in the future. Make sure you get it properly socialised with other dogs, if you are lucky enough to get invites out with other folk's and their dogs, you wont get invited back if your dog wants to latch onto theirs And lastly this will probably

  9. As is the norm from you...fantastic photos
  10. Cheers pet, if you want me too, but these were not my photos
  11. Would have to disagree with you on that one as a general rule of thumb.. My dogs and others I have seen when getting right into the numbers start getting tired, its easier for them to kill the rabbit and fetch it back rather than kicking a pulling. My dog fetchs to hand, alive most times however when shes right tired she will just bite the heads and carry them back. Various levels of ''hard mouthed'' some are ribs like black jelly dog food lol other would class a hard strike ie bit of brusing off the inital impact. A lot worst trates to have in a lurcher, i hate a soft

He said deep snow right up to the last village (LF) on the way to mine, then suddenly no snow after it and thick fog instead....like there is a cut off line Whereabouts? Just hail in Hartlepool, my pup still hasn't seen snow!! About 75 mile north from you

  14. When the whippet was younger, i came across a fox in the middle of a field one night, i should'nt have i know, but wanted to see what happened! Put the lamp on the fox and it stood still, Boo went trotting up to it, tail high, looking as aggressive as hell. The fox just froze almost nose to nose with the whippet. It seemed like an eternity they were stood like that, then the fox as calm as can be just turned around and slowly trotted away, Boo came running back to me wagging his tail and grinning from ear to ear....with that kind of "Wow, did you see that, did ye, did ye" kind of look about h
  15. So....if no-one else posted that an act is illegal, guests reading this would not find out. This place just gets better and better  Spot on Josy
  16. So for all it was Millets idea, he wont be allowed in then...bless him

  19. That's cos you are making them do something they dont want to do The trick i use, say............ rabbitttsssssssssssssss Then they go from this... To this....
  20. Does anyone think that the more they get nettled the better/more resistant they become? As young adults mine have all gone through the loopy, stage with stings, but as they get older i never see them scratching anymore?
  21. Yes, it does not show on xray, so no way to know how big etc. Guess that's him stuck for the rest of the season then? Hoping he can at least get ratting in a few weeks? Thanks Sky.
