  1. You beauty, it worked. Thank you VERY much
  2. I keep getting a pop up message today when i try to click on links in emails (topic notifications etc) I have nothing else open on the pc?
  3. Stronghold is better imo I think one problem is people do not read instructions carefully. Frontline wont work if your dogs get wet something like 24hrs prior too and after application. If your dogs are like mine they are always in either rain, long wet grass or streams daily. Don't matter with Stronghold.
  4. The teenage phase. Plenty of fun and stimulation when she is being good. Be boring and ignore her when she is being disobedient. Because you see, negative attention ie; chasing her, shouting etc when she is naughty is still attention, something which she craves at this age. Take away any attention of any kind at this stage and she will soon learn she only gets it when she is complying with you. But you must remember to give her loads of attention and praise when she is simply just behaving nicely, otherwise in her head what is the point in being with you, doing what you ask, you are boring
  5. 7. Happy Whys that Moll? Happy dog given a 2nd chance, happy owner, all coming together nicely
  8. I would have left it alone, at least that way they might get homed away from there
  9. Really nice day today, and some real good looking dogs there. Did enter Boo in the whippet class, but the showing was running really late and the weather was just too hot for man or beast, and knowing we had a 2.5hr drive home, we called it a day and left before the class. Gutted they did not have terrier racing the Tank was desperate to have a go Brill to meet up with Frankel, Poacherspocket22, Jill, Ginny and many more. Great chat and stories Oh and if you ever need a new home for Millie

    Question.

They are not the questions but the rspca's answers to the questions. Defra has not stated biting or anything, which makes it worse...can cover anything, meaning your dog has to be totally under control even on your own property???

    Question.

You may be liable for prosecution soon under the DDA rather than anything to do with hunting. Defra had a questionnaire out recently regarding the changing of DDA, one of those questions was should the DDA act cover dogs on private property. The survey is finished now but i managed to find the rspca's response to it....and wouldn't you know....... http://content.www.rspca.org.uk/cmsprd/Satellite?blobcol=urldata&blobheader=application%2Fpdf&blobkey=id&blobnocache=false&blobtable=MungoBlobs&blobwhere=1233005600033&ssbinary=true
  12. Swallows up here are only just building their nests

  14. Has to be the weather, but never heard of it ever before. Two different places i have heard the toads calling. Then yesterday found a couple paired up in my garden. Then late last night i couldn't shut my door properly, switch on the light and found these two had made their way up a step to get into my cottage....were they planning on spawning in my bath This was after a day of Swallows constantly flying into and through the house looking for somewhere to build a nest. I'm moving out, cant take any more animals here
  15. Toads....have started to call and mate again...what's happening
  16. i dont think sometimes it is as black and white as this. i have a small permission that i mentioned earlier in the thread about eating all the horses grass. two paddocks over from this there is a roadside verge with lots of rabbits in that are constantly moving in to the warrens that i vacate, there are always a steady supply of rabbits to fill in the gap i make. i am not allowed to ferret this roadside verge, i have had permission turned down, and i couldnt possibly poach as its illegal and also near the main farm so id be seen so after ive told you my life story, and im not having a dig, i
  17. Not the one that's gone missing, well away from the farmhouse and no livestock so no dogs around. Unfortunately it is being left to grow for silage, so no chance of spotting the trap. I will definitely ask him, he's a nice man Thank you.
  18. I drag mine with one hand whilst driving the trooper with the other I have four bins and your ment to take 1 a week to the bottom of the hill.......................NO CHANCE!!! I burn all my cardboard and paper and small bits of plastic.....food scraps go to the dogs and birds and all glass goes to recycling. The only thing i drag down to the bottom is tin cans and big plastic bottles/containers. I always said i would never recycle...always feel i am doing someone elses job for them but they wont take the bin if its not got the correct stuff so they've forced my hand...............
  19. I drag mine with one hand whilst driving the trooper with the other
  20. Wouldnt dare Go and check the farm collies kennel....... Wouldnt dare Lab, it has already ripped a hole in Terras side. Proper evil snakey type Then there are another 4 or 5 collies belonging to the different shepherd/farm hands, then the wire viz's...more dogs than sheep there
  21. I do but i don't really. As Paulus said, walking the dogs here means now and then you get accidental runs and catches, it cannot be helped. I do try to stay away from places i think there may be something and make loads of noise. But then again i do try to do that all year round cos the things which get up here always mean my dogs end up somewhere i really dont want them to be and usually injured. But there is no way can i keep the dogs leashed all summer. The people i do pest control for at the castle have loads of trouble with rabbits in their private garden, so several times a week i run
  22. It's on a farm so may well be a badger? On the same farm, different field, one of the ones i hooked on the fence had been ripped off, leaving it's leg still attached. Thank you
