  1. So you do see women who hunt as masculine then, presuming this as you listed it with other masculine activities. Usually men who cannot understand how a woman can possibly do something masculine are normally men who are insecure in themselves....Men who see nothing out of the ordinary or simply think of it as quirky are usually very comfortable in themselves. Why on earth do you think a woman would want to talk about killing or skinning things on a date Another misconception that we must be blood thirsty, ignorants with no etiquette or manners Bird, biatch, tart, chick.....you really cant
  2. Better if you turn them at least 3 x per day, more if possible, always an odd number though Pity you were not nearer me i could have put them in my incubator, got room at the mo.
  3. Nothing if thats what a woman wants to do.......but i know if id just bought a bird a drink and during the getting to know you stage she told me she likes to go out hunting.......she wouldnt be getting a second drink !....... Same as if she told me she likes carpentry or arm wrestling.....nothing wrong with it but certainly not my sort of treacle.......no offence like. None taken Gnash. If a man was so insecure he could not see beyond his misconceptions i would have probably left whilst he was at the bar anyway Especially if he called me a bird

  6. Edited to add i find it extremely insulting that another woman or man would think i would do anything other than hunting anyway Gnasher what do you think is wrong with a woman hunting please, do you think it makes a woman seem masculine?
  7. A bit of both. A dog with desire and brains.
  8. One mates new girlfriend did put a stop to me hunting with him till she got to know me. Other than that all my pals wives/girlfriends understand it is about hunting, nothing else

  11. There may be some unfortunate soul out there who bought him as a youngster and put loads of work into him not knowing he was pinched, also now looking for him. Dog thieves are the lowest of the low. Chuffed to bits you got him back

  13. Funnily enough he was never a bother out working, ive found most dogs when working are too interested in the work than other dogs. And i would never trust dogs loose together in the back of a car anyway...always caged separately
  14. Had to move the budgies out of the aviary after they killed the canary chicks. I put them in a small cage in the hen shed, two days later she has layed an egg on the floor
  15. My whippet is only 19.5" and never had any problems lamping from long slips. But i presume the beddy half of this cross may take that edge off the speed?
  16. I think dogs are totally different with prey than they are with dogs. A wise old dog will quite often stay away from other dogs..just not interested in them, they have nothing to offer, even sometimes act scared. But that red mist still comes down over the eyes when with quarry. I've had a real nasty bully of a dog, would literally run at dogs and rag them to the ground. He got bit of a fox ONCE and would not go near it again. The same dog got bit on the face by a terrier. He never started another dog fight after that.
  17. Keep treatment going for 4 days after the eye infection appears to have gone.
  18. I was thinking that the terrier has probably accidentally caught one in the seat, it has happened to me before
