Dont know the dogs name just used to pass the time of day with the owner if i saw him out walking the dogs he also had 3/4 grey 1/4 collie bitches of hancock and if i remember correctly they were stolen from his yard years ago..

Nice tale bosun The one in the pic did knock over hares and took rabbits used to see them hanging up in the shed it just was treated like any old mutt was back then.

Seen the odd one over the years. This one my mates dads dog did go out regular but just as a one for the pot type dog run on the local flapping track and roamed the streets like any other dog times were very different then.

ive not seen a hancock dog for years and dont know much about them these days but i owned 1 bred from chuckles who was sired by a rabbiting collie he showed good potential but died young and have heard a few decent dogs came from the dog chuckles i know d,sleight used him back in his line of collie lurchers many years ago.

i just liked listening to the old boys reminisce about old times in the field. sunday morning hare coursing or some ferreted rabbits then a old lad used to raffle them in the local labour club sunday afternoon for some beer money.
