  1. I sometimes work wood piles, with stop nets some of these warrens are a fair length, and if on my own, an Albino, or Sandy is better for me to keep it in sight, than a Polecat. thats the only reason, Nearly all my ferreting is in woodland so same for me CJ.

  8. the russell in the pic buster is also my mates dog a good ratter and he retrieves game etc but if im honest working cover marking etc the old mongrel is far the better dog a one off maybe but ive watched other mongrels over the years prove to be useful dogs for there owners.
  9. This one buster. My mates dog now a old lad. Got from a dogs home as a pup took it ferreting from a young age cracking marking dog went through cover like a bulldozer good ratter retrieved shot pigeons. why he leaves the harness on when we go ferreting i dont know.i think its to wind me up and it works. But a belting little dog in his time.

  11. ive a bucket full of comfrey tea and nettle tea stinks to high heaven. only having about a 50% success rate on the cauliflowers some have nice tight heads and the others pathetic. have you grown any? I have a few that I planted darbo from seed called all year round cauliflower but at the moment they are only 6-7 inches tall they seem slow to get going. ​Gave them bit of comfrey yesterday to see if they can get motivated
  12. ive never seen one in the flesh Shaaark either only listened to the tales about my grandads dog and if the tales were true it took many a long tail of lord derbys estate in merseyside there is a dutch fella who has been breeding with some imported dogs in the lines. i have had a brief chat to him and he has invited me down to see the dogs and have a good talk to him. it maybe intresting. i dont know if anyone has actually purchased one with some sort of work in mind When someone says 'work' - just make sure they don't mean "I let my dogs off the lead and they do what the heck they want

  15. the kids are now in there 20s laurie if i put the original up with there faces on they might give me a good beating.
  16. A oldie. a bit of bushing with my mates grandkids a beddy and a old collie/whippet type lurcher i had.
