  2. If its a group thing, careful you don't end with a yapper.
  3. I've had haix tibet for nearly 2 years. they have been worn for at least 12 hours a day for 5 days a week for 9 months of the year. I average 13 km a day in boots. in that time they have never let me down. Dry, Supported. no hot spots. light for size. No obvious signs of impending failure. 5 days a week, they have become saturated. they have been worn for all duties. Covered 1000's of miles. paddled in shit daily. Worn on hill farm duty. Not let me down. The grip is limited in extreme circumstances and the footbed is unforgiving. But for digging, walking, grafting etc, they have never let me d

    Vaping

I smoked 20 -30 a day for the last 25 years. stopped in jan. and never looked back. tried vapes before, but its just swapping one addiction for another. Get yourself some good hynotherapy and feck it off. If I can, it must be a piece of piss to most. But you really have to want to stop
  6. bugger recklessness!, get it over a collie
  7. try measuring it with a stop watch
  8. it's finding that proven good one thats half the problem
  9. He doesn't catch anymore he's retired but it was just a thought I had looking through old photos I have that reminded me. with age, comes wisdom.
  10. Speed kills, and not just quarry. I've seen one or two greys do the work of a lurcher. Most made a decent job of it, but much depended on where they were worked. What they didn't do is last season after season. I just dont see why when we have well proven longdogs that have far more to bring to the table than "just" pace, why you would add a pure greyhound to any proven lurcher.
  11. Left the pup bumbling around outside this morning. An hour or so later, she turns back up and starts scratching at the back door to come in. Nice and live to hand and all. Made a fuss and let it go when she wasn't looking.
  12. looks like this has become "the best bitching in the country". But I'm surprised its taken this long
  13. you can still outcross using 2 unrelated coursing lurchers very true, but to dismiss outright using a pure saluki in any breeding program sounds foolhardy to me. Its what folk were saying all those years ago when they said they were just plodders and thick. and that the dogs of the time were nigh on perfect, and just needed breeding close
  14. If you want to outcross, someone, somewhere will have had to use a pure.
  15. Aye, if you want to break its teeth
  16. Put one in your garden then lmao I tried to but some moan old b*****ds opposed the planning application
  17. I lifted the lid on a trap tunnel in the chicken run one night. Sat on the trigger plate of the fenn trap was a woodmouse eating a piece of maize.
  18. bonnie dog that. Screams Saluki, but a little part of me sees collie, even if I know im wrong. Do you still have this dog by the way? He was with me on Thursday & he`s sleeping in the living room just now. He is all saluki/greyhound with a tad hardblood whippet & more saluki Glad to be wrong. A good solid flockhound that is.

  20. but if you put off road suspension on an F1 car...................
  21. Shock collar now! and put it on the dogs breeder
  22. Collies have a very good recovery rate that hopefully gets passed on. Salukis are bred for long range runs like kenyans running for water lol it not uncommon to try blend the collie grey saluki grey for a more bidable versitle dog but thats when it works out haha.. like any other cross it can also go horruble wrong I suppose in theory they should recover faster than the straight sal grey for the second and third runs during a day.would yee agree?but for the first run the sal grey would be the best choice maybe in general? Depends what you are running and where. As much as I love collie x'
  23. your on the money about that Romeo x Belle litter, and given chance they ware more than just "blue rope dogs". You'll be fine with that young bitch of yours, just stop feeding it the interior of your Daihatsu
  24. Hope all goes well for you. Call it Miele, then if doesn't go to plan, at least it will be an expensive pot washer
