About Books And The New Authors Nowadays.
trenchfoot replied to Lutra Lutra's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Over the years, advances in photography have changed what we expect in print. From old 35mm we had to take to the chemist (unless we had a special contact) to insta-matic pictures. Which were poor quality, but saved on attracting any grief, unless your ego got the better of you. And now we have digital LSR's and camera phones. Its instant free to take pics, and no come back from the developer. And you wonder why recent publications show "more" and are more verbally graphic. ? -
its not a case of selling anybody out. I hunt , shoot and fish. I feel that the time is right to put together an "article" that sums up the situation for fieldsports in the UK. The role of " hunting with dogs" plays within the uk and the pluses and minuses of the ban from "our side". I'm not just talking about a re-write of stuff thats been said before, but some a slightly different tack also. A rabid anti will never open their eyes and ears to what we hold dear. But the middle ground, that have little knowledge of the real countryside can be enlightened. Bitching, name calling and shit t

Back to basics, work it on its own and get it checked by a vet

With respect trenchfoot and cocker IMHO those pictures we understand are the end result of a hare shoot, to the anti's that'll be the end of a days coursing even the one ripped open lets not make it too easy for them Y.I.S Leeview Don't worry, I may not use them, just looking at putting together an open letter/article Any photo's of a large bag of rifled foxes may also be useful

theres a man i totally respect in the coursing game . Said your bitch in his opinion . The best bitch out there . This man knows his onions .thank you I find it embarrassing talking about my own dog. I just let men watch her run and they judge for them selfs The word on the street is the bitch is the real deal and if I owned her I'd not be embarrassed talking about her lol, you've put the gear in front of her and made her what she is so fair play..all this arguing over matches etc is the very reason I've never been attracted to this side of the game..anyhow each to their own and all that..if yo

try and get a copy of Purdeys Progress, by David Sleight. A good film to get you going. As for books, get a good gundog training book. And train the obedience basics from that

Little Dogs That Punch Above There Weight
trenchfoot replied to Ebo's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
19" collie x beddie/whippet. full of fire and frightend of nowt, but now at 8 years old, all those times of getting kicked about have taken their toll. A larger dog would have come out better after all these years -
the vote is to repeal the ban. In other words, keep it, or bin it. IN ITS ENTIRETY! no restrictions, other than what laws were already in place before the ban. it really is that simple

Ferreting Dogs... Whats The Best Type / Cross ? Size ?
trenchfoot replied to a topic in Ferrets & Ferreting
If you value the benefits that the collie brings to the mix, I'd be tempted to go for a 3/4 whippet 1/4 collie than a full whippet. I've seen enough handy 1/2 crosses "ruined" in the need for speed. -
Im sure I read that the SNP were abstaining from the vote. which means that it stacks the result more in favour of the tory party. theoretically.
-
the vote is to repeal the ban. Not a modification of the ban. So if it gets repealed, then all rules are as before the ban, for fox, deer and hare

depends which poll you choose to look at. Dont trust the press http://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/brian-blasts-david-cameron-over-5698905

And your no different!!!! Labelling a hunter who commented about nothing remotely associated with hunting as being a skinhead idiot!!! So what your "assuming" is that ALL skinheads fall into the category you mention? ..I've been a skinhead since 1979 so thanks for clarifying that I'm an idiot who hunts with dogs..good luck in your quest to let you be able to have the hunting ban repealed as you will need it ..over & out from this idiot point well made Fuji, but keep your bloody hair on

quite frankly, some did some running. And some did well. Some did some shagging and some did okay. But the rest of you could start an argument in a knackered phone box. And the rest were shite
