  1. Phew pressure off me now I know you're happy with it. ? I'm putting the little airmax 2-7 x32 on one, and I've got hold of a vintage tasco ag in 3-9x40 with a 30/30 ret to go on the other, so it will be proper old school rig.
  2. Quality post ? always great to see a Springer post on here, even better when it contains great pictures.
  3. Brilliant news mark ? I spoke to Lyn last week and he was not a happy bunny about not getting it to you quicker. You know what the hold up was but it didn't make him feel any better about it. I hope it is everything you hope for. J.
  4. Good result with a classic rifle. Great post.
  5. Well the trigger will never be brilliant, but they are far better than new Diana's is all I'll say. ? To be totally honest though because of my knocked up hands and sausage fingers I'm pretty rubbish at assessing triggers.
  6. They are a bit hot mark, so will have to watch them, if they go any higher I will have to do something to keep them legal. They feel a bit different to the vmached one I've used at the airgun bash. Slightly faster than I was looking for, but absolutely no twang or felt recoil. Of course the one I used at the bash was well run in, so that may change over time. Interestingly they feel similar to the hideously expensive venomised 80,s I bought in the auction last week.
  7. Hi Everyone. Mark I hope you don't mind, but I've picked up the sports today, finally completely refurbished and vmach kits fitted. Obviously top one not refurbed, but kit fitted. Saw yours had arrived safely. Also picked up the two expensive 80,s I won in the big auction in Oxford, very pleased with them indeed.
  8. Another, but taken back early autumn.
  9. You have to love the 99,s! Yes I know there is the gauling issue, but other than that.... Here's my two, one in each flavour. The one in the cs stock is just waiting to have the foresight ramps taken down, and then the beautiful slimtech style reflex barrel weight made by one of my very talented mates, can go on. This will I hope you agree make a great looking handy rifle.
  10. You can't make it out in the picture very well, but the base plate also has perspex to run the water off. I'm flat out on moles now, it'll be my bread and butter till may.
  11. Personally I can afford it so why not? A very true addadge "beware the man with one gun", but I personally enjoy owning the springers I could only dream about forty years ago. It's also partly trying to stop them being lost for ever. I only use two ultra se,s in .177 for work, I rarely get time to hunt for pleasure, but if I do it will be with one of the "classics".
  12. Our feeders look quite similar, great minds and all that. ? This one holds a 12.5kg sack of chipmunk mix.
  13. You were doing really well till you got to the rapid, then there's two 77,s then a third you can't see, then a mk 1 80, mercury s, . Outside two Fwb stocks waiting for actions to come back from blueing. Two Diana 35,s, and two anschutz 33, superstar in the bag and a Diana 45 in the cupboard also.
  14. That's a bloody good idea! Never thought to put targets on my feeders .
  15. Have you ever seen such beauty? All been refurbed
  16. Great job. Wait till I put my scrap collection picture up in the other classic section ?
  17. Three sports before they went off for refurbishment and tuning.
  18. Excellent stuff. I've got 3 fwb sports with Lyn lewington right now having v-mach kits fitted, tp,s opened up a bit and generally fettled. They have already been completely refurbished blueing and the wood. Really can't wait to get out hunting with them this summer. Love old school springers.
  19. Good down here also. Started early like the old days. Interesting that the wasps were like the good old days also.
