  1. This is where the differences come ,dog men who are in the game for the love of the dogs, dog peddlers who profess to be in it for the love of it but do it for money and the theiives the scum who steal a dog need to be shafted plain and simple, the peddlers do what you do but dont try to show you are anything but a peddler and dogmen just make sure nothing of yours goes to either of the other two types.
  2. wouldnt it be far better for some one completely inexperienced with dogs to get out with a good mentor, or even enrol (bite my tongue LOL) on a dog training course than trying to learn on a live animal or on an internet website. I understand people having specific issues and asking on a web site, but basic things like feeding, diet, lead training and first step obedience should be something that is understood before even contemplating getting a dog. just my opinion.
  3. With the salukis when you shampoo the feathering on the ears leave them for a while wet before you blow dry them the extra weight on the ears simulates the pull on a collar and lead so they soon get used to it , be careful though only use a good quality shampoo though as if you use cheap stuff, it can scar the featheries for life and put them off walking on a lead.
  4. no not english knob head but plenty of relatives your end of the country ,have you even got anything to run or is it just your mouth.
  5. That's a simple question To answer because they are shit . There speaks an expert
  6. What would you look for mate it depends on the breed of the dog for example salukis have elomgated feet double thickness pads and toes splay on soft and stoney ground, where as a whippet or terrier based line will have well arched toes what are refered to as cat feet , personally I dont like cat feet in a coursing dog as invariably the ground should be soft for coursing and the spread of the feet helps to keep the dog from going to deep when in full flight. nails also should be strong and well rooted as these give grip for drive and turning.
  7. you buy or build a house the first thing to check are the foundations , same you are buying a running dog first check its feet

I don't get this need to tell everyone everything on social sites. Why the f**k would you do that other than to boast about going to court? 13. A dogs world revolves around its stomach , you become the center of its world because it realises you put food in its stomach, just the same with a litter of pups until you ween them the bitch is the center of their world as arctic said observe how the bitch has ways to check ban behavior and ways to encourage play and even encourage basic hunting instinct. When you feed a nervous dog make sure you spend 10 /15 minutes with it at feed times they soon associate you with the food and you should talk to them , stroke and make a fuss of them once they allow this familiarity without running away or
