  1. what have they produced? what have they produced? do a search I thought you were the resident expert lol dont need to do a search but know a lot more than you about them guaranteed
  2. As Arctic said it all depends on what you want to put into the cross. This is where lads let themselves down assuming one stud dog will throw decent stock from what ever it is put to that isnt the case..
  3. Send both bills back to the vet unpaid with a letter explaining your total dissatisfaction with their professional standards. To late to do much now as the edges of the cut will have died off give good flush out with saline solution put Manuka honey onto it everyday and finish the full course of broad spectrum antibiotics, P.S find a good vet for any future needs.++
  4. still twice your age and still run better dogs.
  5. trophy is big tho yes it will be on my sideboard next year with all mine The only thing on your sideboard is a heart monitor    boys trying to get in a mans game
  6. You know it makes sense dont want to be chipping your nail polish.
  7. gain 28 is a waste of time for a pure saluki or a saturated x to high in protien, thousands of years its taken to adapt the saluki to live on a low protien diet. Try it on a basic chicken rice pasta and veg diet you will find its weight remains pretty stable , when running it hard just up the raw chicken a bit or add a bit of breast of lamb.
  8. I disagree in that the emphasis is now firmly on numbers caught rather than the quality of the runs. I ran on permission over 25 years ago , and some of the best permission in the country it was too. Ah well, I suppose I have my memories. The first time I was taken coursing in England was in 1959 I was 9 years old even then numbers were important because they sold the hares for half a crown as was and 3 shillings skinned I saw lads running smithfield collie x greys half a dozen lads and 2/3 dogs a piece they would walk the land for 6/7 hours so numbers were knocked over then in fact

  10. there is an old saying "take what you need and leave the rest", if this is followed and wholesale slaughter is avoided then game should be self sustainable, its when you get people killing just for big numbers the problems occur. The hunting act is self destructive as most of the game taken by dogs is illegal so lads toss the game into the hedge rows and ditches as they dont want to run the risk of being caught redhanded, Then lads go out night after night lamping 30 /40 rabbits what for? just to show how good the dog is.Same with coursing a couple of runs is enough but lads want to get out doi
  11. the coursing game has never been any different, some would have you believe other wise the only difference is now its illegal and a lot is on video.
  12. its only poaching if you get caught , otherwise its using the commodities available in natures larder -
  13. when a man shuts up and lets the dog do the talking
  14. I didnt know Mark Brick had a season, I thought he spouted shit all year round.
  15. the clowns want f***ing with a ragmans trumpet.total waste of space.
  16. your not talking of a good hare dog when you speak of foxy.... Your speaking of the best dog to set foot onto a field !! 62 matches that bitch had and 62 she won !! Sometimes twice a week she was matched !! She would always push on , not the classiest of runner but clever strong and bred to do the job ! , so to compare a dog to foxy is a lil unfair I think ?? She wasn't just good she was undisputed ! ......man I'd like to get hold of some of her breed line !! I think youll find foxy ran 62 matches but did not win them all some where draws , theres plenty stuff bred from them lines about Ahhh
  17. To many people worrying about what others are spending their money on. Your primary in fact only concern should be with the dogs in your care and in your kennel. If everyone took care of their hounds there wouldnt be so many on the carousels and being shunted from pillar to post, any man selling a dog or pup can sell it for what he wants its his to sell like it or not. In my experience most legends are figments of some ones fertile imagination and internet legends are no different to dogs of yester year some can do the job and some cant as long as you havent paid out for a cant do what does it
  18. Pity dogs cant change their owners the orphanages would be full of failed slippers
  19. A dog shouldnt be specifically for one quarry , Good dog keeps its owner happy running what he wants it to run. I would assume most good dogs would have a pop at anything moving not just old puss.
  20. They could say dog was out of control but its not actually an offence for a dog to kill a cat dating back to when dogs where licenced and cats are not if you ran over a dog when they were licenced you had to inform the police but if you ran over a cat you didnt so now no dog licence so your dog killing the cat is an act of nature.
  21. The 5 grand is deductable and Roonies wage he would be happy with an old car tyre to swing on.+++++++++++++++
