    Im possibly in the top 1% of folk that want a Deerhoundy influenced lurcher and id not wish for more than a quarter in the mix,i like the dogs to pan out at 28" and the bitches an inch less.The better working Deerhoundy,s around now are usually better working influenced with whats also in the mix,especially Greyhound and cur and i believe this combo is a truer reflection of the Deerhounds of olde than the oversized KC dross that reflects poorly on the breeds true work ethos now.

    There is a lineage of very good black digging terriers in my vicinity that are bred from a Russel dam.Over the resultant generations the odd white un that as cropped up was often deaf,as the average black terrier is dumber than mud and often turns deaf is the Russel influence to blame?.

    The taller they get the more working useless many of them become,its a KC thing. even a male at 31'' can catch lamped rabbits and daytime roe and hares.all this was pre ban. My mate owned one that panned out at 34" and caused a little anxiety in the Dales bunny populace,striving for anything more than a rodent became the jukels downfall.The better working bred uns that panned out at many an inch less where often the reason many of us became Deerhoundy orientated and excitable.

    No thanks, their coats are too hard to wash and dry properly. Ohh my bad, i thought ye wanted grafters... The people that really? want a grafter would do well to throw away the rose tinted lenses and see what is the most suitable stud about,i know of a terrier thats heavily Beddy influenced that would put an awful lot of working studs to shame,how many terriermen would throw away their prejudice to use such a mutt?,answers on the back of fleas arse please.
