Find a secure area,i used a tennis court, take the dog in and walk away and ignore it,as it moves towards you walk away and carry on doing this every time it approaches you, after it as made a few attempts let it approach you and praise it,do this a couple of times with a retrieve training thrown in.Don,t let the dog off the leash unless its at home and go through this exercise until the pup is bouncing back to you, then back to the fields and see if it works,if not back to the tennis court.

"That stupid twat running our Deer as to be English,he,s got a Bullx".
-
Ignorant twat, have you never heard of foreplay, holding hands in the moonlight whilst lamping,or a little kiss and cuddle whilst awaiting the outcome of the course, feck sake is the heart of romance lost on the young-uns now.Wanting to enter before the ferret is soooo rude.

If they are not doing any damage then learn to live with it,the land and game should be accessible to all who treat it with respect.

It was Union,Britains most gullible.

10-15 rabbs? What u do shoot them for him fost? Lol. some areas that would be classed as a good bag im afraid, cant all have rabbits tripping over long grass waiting to be picked up by the dog no matter what type it istripping over long grass?? Wow... I'm not up the dales... Cheshire!! yes mate that is what i was getting at cant all hit 30/40 or 100s even in a night we aint all got that luxury of that amount game on the ground cheers Ive yet to meet the bunny best suited to bull type production, saying that ive seen all the Monty Python flics, that was a serious rodent.
-
The problem with the majority of bullx owners now is if they had a pup at 17 weeks of age and it showed no regard to killing anything they would sell it and source another, they are the domain of the quiet man with purpose and the loud mouth gobshite.

He,s the type cast British heavyweight, steer them away from anybody with a chance of winning, make a fist full of dollar for the promoter and after conning the public for 22 fights put him in with a big pay day,see him beat and get him a few easy British and European no fests before he retires to Morecambe to watch his cars burning, again.
-
Id not own another, seen what good uns have to offer and it was not enough, because they don,t suit my hunting lifestyle, they suit the more resolute soul and immature ego,s,the resolute souls have my admiration.
-
That would be by accounts and not all accounts .

Never source or buy a pup on a whim and fancy,we,ve all done it and many have paid the price, twice,in dollar and mistake. Its so fecking hard for a keen soul to source a pup to meet his,or her, desire, then be let down by the mercenary baskets out there that want to deprive them from their dollar, with a 3rd rate jukel. There is more dross than silk bred,if your not sure walk, ill warrant many an honest soul will not sell you a pup without you meeting their standards, thats the place to find your pup.

No,its the ultimate survivor,id drive to another more productive County.

Im 54 Fuji and am still fitter than many half my age, when i get out with my lad and his younger associates i have to be in front, first over the wall or gate, fastest up the hill and quickest to the catch, with wisdom ive learnt the art of passing responsibility without some of them knowing im having a rest, which i often do around the nearest wall or " oer t,hill" away from youthful eyes,i cannot keep this charade up for to much longer before they catch me out, they possibly know as im the first to fall asleep on the journey home.

The speed element is of paramount importance in a lurcher,as long as there is not to much of it in regards to other desirable attributes that you touched on,"obedient dog, with a natural retrieve and soft mouth",that as been part and parcel of the package from its earliest manifestation.I owned a Lab/Grey bred lurcher,it was keen, easily trained, biddable, quick to learn, fantastic nose and retrieve etc, etc,,yet it lacked its most important attribute, acceleration and pace, when bred back to a lurcher its progeny fared better, yet id not have fed one, others bred this way will obviously fare better,ye

You must have legs like iron Fuji, smart pics again.

A 3/4 grey should be far bigger than that at 6 months of age, have you measured accurately?,dogs go through growth spurts but id not expect the pup to make much more than 22". Mines 20 1/2" and she 6 months old tomoz 3/4grey 1/4 collie. Ill warrant the size is attributable to something else in the mix.
-
If that was the case they would have been more readily utilised. The facts are that lurchers have evolved over centuries to adapt to the times and the fads of the owners hunting lifestyle, the more conventional crosses have stood the test of time because nothing else matches what they offer, fact. The lads out and about exploring "something new" have yet to better the accepted types,in general.Im all for a little exploration and pushing boundaries, yet if its not broke and all that.

The best years are there to be had for anyone with the sense to live them mate, lifes what you make it, we wont be dragged down to their level, not real terrier lads. Proper terriers are here to stay mate dont worry bout that!Seriously mate the best years are gone ,maybe its the advent of the internet that allows people access to a little bit of knowledge ,maybe we are breeding quitters that in turn like to own quitters ,maybe i should stop reading all this shite and not get so involved. That's exactly what I need to do stop reading this shite! Mainly idiots writing absolute nonsense Dick

The best time of year to look for any pup is the beginning of April, around the 1st is possibly beset with Bull and Saluki litters, the day after Hancock takes hold of your jackson.
-
I just do as with what seems to be common practice now,dig deeeeep and leave an hole for a sheep to fall in,or a fat yorkshire hiker.

Get out more.
