  1. There was a programme on the tv last night, lost tapes?.The first plane and the time before it crashed into the tower, the female air hostess and how she calmly talked through what was happening. The bravery of that lass was totally incomprehensible.RIP.
  2. I'm contemplating a new set of runs, triple, ive usually built my own but with the price of wood, mesh or railings etc.im looking at sourcing a ready made set up or panels to affix to wooden kennels.Im shit on computers so if anybody can offer a guide to some decent gear with a scrooge mentality in mind,im not afraid to spend for the right gear I'm just conditioned to be careful with the brass.Any assistance will be gratefully accepted, well as gracefully as I can muster, cheers.
  3. How do you know whats written unless you read it first?.I used to peruse the bookshelfs in libraries and second hand bookshops looking for anything hunting orientated,i was an avid reader of anything that gave me an insight into any form of hunting and the education much of it offered me.Many of these expertly written books were anything but expertly written and Harcombe comes into that category for me,thats my opinion,if that's slating him so be it.He was 3 times better than Glover, mind you id rather read Barbra Cartlands romantic shite than Glovers,im off to get a lollipop and play on the sw

It would take all the BBC channels to cover 50% of the working history of the Bedlington, itv and channel 4 can cover 10% of the rest, the other 40% leave to me?.

Is Mortimer and Whitehouse the only programme worth watching on the tv at the moment?how long will it be before the soppy millennials cry fish cruelty and stop it?.

  11. No luck involved there mucker, you deserve it and dc is what lurcher ownership is about, very well done DC.
  12. In the harsh winter of 43 we ate our only possesion,i still miss that box.
  13. No need to add anything if you are feeding barf, plus id only feed an adult dog once a day and miss 1 day a week. The amount you feed will depend on the weight of the dog and how much graft it gets, rule of thumb for me was if the dog was getting to fat id feed it less and eventually you will get a balance. The quality of the barf is a major factor, what is in the barf you are giving the mutt?.
  14. The only terriers id trust with the small children are the beddy,s and as you say they are as much a terrier as any other.Ive still to nail the hard jacket though.
  15. It just makes me wonder how long a rent boy can earn a crust from his boyish charm and firm butt?
  16. Again the mastiff was bred centuries earlier,a breed specific type of mastiff was utilised as a keepers dog, would you not wish to own one of them now?,can you imagine owning a fecking destructive mutt like that now and learning it to puncture inflatable boats and migrants?.
  17. No I was attempting to get across that long mundane hours and a low wage have an habit of making the man,ffs if what I talk about lurchers sets me up for your radar god help others.
  18. 19th century? The romans utilised mastiff type dogs to enter battle and maim ,they recognised the worth of these dogs when they encountered them in battle much earlier. They brought them to Britain as did the Normans with their mastiff versions and their punitive rural laws.By the 19th century these mastiff types had evolved into several breed specific types, some to bait animals and some to hold men.
  19. Rubbish, its that type of attitude that portrays Britain now.You start work on the lowest rung of the ladder, unless daddy sent you to Eton, then you toss it off for a few years,at daddy,s expense, leave college and walk into government or high finance and eventually run the country.Back in the real world you climb the rungs as you gain experience, you earn as you learn, you get used to the cold, the dirt, the slog, the mundane tasks and long, long laborious hours, eventually your body and mind becomes accustomed to the workload, the early start and late finish and you grow into a man,or woman and if you
  20. Exactly, any youngster will readily follow the example that is set.Its when the wanker in charge,on more money, tosses it off and puts the workload on the newbe.I was learnt to work years before I got a job.
