I have Rez. Sadly but, it was never getting used while I was getting the Regal into shape and, have my HW80, HW77' and HW97 springers to spoil myself with and it's a shame to let a fine gun just sit for month after month in a cabinet gathering dust. I sold it to Charlie Caller and he's been fettling it up. He'll have an amazingly accurate .177 carbine there. Now I'm leaning towards buying another TX200. But in .22 this time. AND....I'm currently kicking myself that I missed out on Jimmy's Prosport he's just sold. By the way though Jamie, I hope the condensation hasn't caused you

Depends on the scope Mark, if it gets a bump or knock in the process. Some will need a click or two to get the reticle back into zero. I've got a couple of beautiful old scopes I still have in use; a Bushnell Scopechief on my Regal PCP and a NIkko Stirling Goldcrown on my HW77 .22 that have yet to be re-zeroed despite being taken out of the actions and refitted. Every Hawke scope I've had, has needed a re-zero after use and dismantle/refitting of the actions they sat on.

I've never used a swift Stumpy Mod on any rifle Phil so, you may well have a Mod that actually works well for your TX200HC. I shoot Weihrauch springers and they don't seem to make a hap'orth of difference with or without a Mod fitted. That TX200HC of yours by the way, is a blisteringly accurate springer. I was well impressed with it. Definitely a keeper if it was mine

How about a summer meet and I'll make the trip north to yours Jimmy? It'll be lovely to see you and Nicola again and meet a few of the Northern lads around your way!

.22 pellet at 30 to 40 ft/lbs you still shoot rabbits and the usual vermin into the head. But it delivers a decisive, instantly fatal shot to the upper body/chest area too.

Mitch will love a well-sorted and regged Daystate Regal like mine. I defy him to turn his nose up once you get one sorted out!

And fit a couple of magnyfying glass lenses either end and you have a delux version!

I have my dream rifles with my HW77 and HW80 .22 and HW97K .177 and my Airtech regulated DAYSTATE REGAL is a superb PCP. But one rifle left to add, the one I would love to have as much as any other, is an AIR ARMS PROSPORT in .22. That's my dream rifle and thanks to a dear pal of mine here, I have the PS stock adapted for left-hand shooting for one, waiting for a decent action to slip into it. I quite like the look of the RWS EXCALIBRE too. Can a Left-Hander like me shoot it comfortably well?
-
Well, if you think of being left handed you'd think you might hold the rifle at the grip with your left hand and cock the lever with your right. After all, the right hand for us, is the leading hand on the forestock. But then, being left handed we lead with our left so, tend to think of cocking the rifle with our left hand while our right holds the rifle at the grip and reaches for the pellet, it's a subconscious swapping over of the hands that happens with some of us lefties. To cock and hold the lever with the left and load from the right is actually quicker and easier for some us. As it

Well Tom, you could say any noise reduction is better than none at all

I shoot a lot at this time of year around the barns as they come in to roost. The amount of faeces they drop in the barns they roost in, is disgusting and surely, a Health hazzard to farmworkers who have to work in these places?
-
They reduce a little of the muzzle-crack, but, not really that much Tom, a third at best or hardly at all. Not so you'd notice an immediate and dramatic difference. You can't deaden the crack of the piston and spring in the cylinder. Nor the thwack of the pellet off a rabbit's skull anyway so. honestly, I don't rate them as an essential item on an FAC HW80. I have a Webley Venom Slimtech long silencer on mine which has sealed itself to the barrel very tightly and I can't get it off. It looks lovely mind, but does more to increase the rifle's overall length than hush the muzzle-blast produced.

I make a quick screen of twigs and grasses in front of me to lie prone behind. But not by any means, often on my shooting forays. I use a German Army Flecktarn jacket and an old face/head net I've had for years which is very effective when you consider the average rabbits' eyesight is not that great and they see only in Black and White monochrome anyway. So wildly expensive and elaborate cammo clothing is a waste of good money to me. You just need a disruptive pattern cammo jacket, some comfy trousers and a headnet to reduce your facial skin colour from shining in the evening sunlight. Just g

A&M MARKSMAN is as silent as it gets for me. Brilliantly efficient Mod in my book.

Never use one-piece mounts on any of my rifles Phil. I prefer SPORTSMATCH 2-piece. These are far more accepting of different scope tube lengths and can adapt for perfect eye-relief as well as balance over the action. ATB Simon

What To Do When The Perm`s Are Slow ?
pianoman replied to mark williams's topic in General Airgun Discussion
That pie looks perfect Mark! Fabulous!! Do you make pies for the family at Christmas too, like the left-over turkey or what have you? There's a right good book of recipes here among you lads that can make a good pie. I've eaten well, all over the world and nothing, NOTHING beats a cracking good english-made pork pie or a steak pie with a buttery cream mashed potato and a rich ale and onion gravy. Heaven. -
Which Of These Three Springers For Hunting ?
pianoman replied to mark williams's topic in General Airgun Discussion
For me, if we are talking strictly legal, sub-12 foot pound spring rifle hunting performance, it has to be the HW77 .22 I currently own. That rifle has given me some incredible shooting memories. I really can't sing its praises enough. Just a beautifully sweet and incredibly accurate rifle you'd be proud to own. -
Since I moved to Lincolnshire I'm always out shooting on my own. Love it! Space and peace to think and get away from the cares and worries of running a business and in some of the most beautiful agricultural countryside in Britain. I'm a really lucky bugger here. Got some fantastic rabbit and pigeon shooting to get away to.

The original DS Huntsman Classic was a really beautiful rifle. I was really well impressed with the .177 version I bought for Helen I bought the Regal on the back of how good the Huntsman was. Why the Regal that followed it was such a woefully underpowered disappointment is beyond my comprehension.

For any Weihrauch springer you HAVE GOT to try H&N FIELD TARGET TROPHY And experiment with different headsizes. All three of my HWs (HW80 .22. HW77 .22 and HW97K .177) loves em!

I agree with Vizlauk about a left handed stock with a right handed action as a desirable set up. TX200 and HC Carbine are available in all left-hand stock and actions. They are incredibly accurate spring air rifles and I'm definitely thinking of buying one again. For any spring powered air rifle, silencers are a waste of time and money. They cannot muffle the crack of the spring piston action activating in the cylinder and there's no really noticeable benefit of hush at the muzzle end in my experience. Makes your rifle look longer is about it really.

It has been proven to be "The Will Of The People By Democratic Vote" That we leave the EU. It has to taken then that this will be the act of Parliament to effect that exit. MPs must see that the will of their constituents is carried out. It has nothing to do with personal opinions or beliefs. They are servants of we, the people and not our masters! It must be that we will leave, regardless of the personal feelings of political individuals. If we have referendums and the outcome is argued and delayed because certain politicians don't like the result, then you do not have democracy but a dictat

Two sided Mirror is bang on right Mark. Now I see the High Court is arguing that as Theresa May is an unelected Prim Minister it is for Parliament to decide. And that also means the UNELECTED HOUSE OF LORDS also has a say in the Brexit matter Only we British can cook up something so utterly inept as a point of Law with an absolutely hypocritical point of contradiction in it!

A TX200HC in .177 is one of the most accurate air rifles in existance Rez. You sort the right pellet out for one and you have an out and out supergun! I'm definitely regretting selling my Mk.III but, a new one with that rather nice walnut stock they come with is under consideration!
