    My favourite "quick" method is to hold the rabbit by the shoulders belly outwards and with a stanley knife with the blade 1/3 of the way out just slash it from ribs to arse then hook them out like in the chef video.

    Mate just give it both jabs and then youle be sure. Is it really worth it? I mean do you think it will be enjoyable for you or the pup if it DOES catch parvo (or anything else)? Watching it puke and shit its own lifeblood out all over your floor/bed/lap. For the sake of a fortnight of carrying it in your jacket whule out on walks?

    FAC airrifle, 22 rimmy, hornet, 17. Why? The airrifle is capable of less than the rimmy but makes a fair bit of noise still when fac rated and rickochets just as bad AND cost a bloody lot of dosh. A hornet isnt THAT much more powerfull than a rimmy really but i still wouldnt rate them for foxes. If it was me, and this is what i DID do was apply for a 22 rimmy for rabbits and other vermin, a 22.250 for foxes and vermin and a 7x57 and a 30.06 for deer. I was granted all 4.     I remember once years ago i found a load of local farms on the o/s map and wrote to them all asking permission for ferreting, shooting, deer stalking, whatever they needed sorting. I had a few calls saying your welcome, come along, i had a few calls saying thankyou for your letter but the answers no because.........., and i had one bunny hugging twat phone up and call me every type of cruel b*****d that walks the plannet, at one point in the conversation he even said "if you ever shoot a deer i will shoot you i will"! Lol!

    I get offcuts off the butchers. The dogs love it and as you can see from the pics are all in tip top condition. Mine dont get any dry food. Another place to get it from is landywoods or tpms. Youle find both if you google them. Mine get lamb mince, chicken wings or frames, beef tripe, kidneys from landywoods and whatever the butcher dont want.

    Just a quick note to anyone reading this: I PMd Jac suggesting she put this in the terrier section as she mentioned in her thread in the general talk section that it had dug an earth in the garden. I explained what goes on re terriers in fox earths, nets and dispatch and she still posted here so she must obviously be comfortable about it. Any genuine, decent terriermen in the area drop her a pm and make arrangements.

    Funnily enough iv just blended up a load of veg for the dogs. Included this time was 2 apples, 1 orange, 1 bag of spinach, 1 big head of brocolli, 1 pack of runner beans, 1 bag of sugarsnap peas, 1 bag of baby carrots, 1 double pack of leeks, 1 pack of tomatoes. Iv got 5 dogs and between them they will eat 2 handfulls a day mixed in with their grub. They would probably be happy with more but 2 handfulls is what they get. Re meat and bones: any bones are ok so long as not cooked. Mine get rabbit and chicken whole carcasses regularly and a lot of grub free from the butcher including big bones an

    This might seem like a strange question but does the pup smell? If not it aint parvo. If its got parvo it f*****g stinks! Its like a metallic sort of "off" smell. Anyway, if it is or aint, obviously theres SOMETHING wrong so (and here it comes again) GET IT TO A VET!!! Im guessing youve already done that as your talking about blood tests so i wish you the best of luck. As far as i know (and im no expert) it CAN be treated and sorted proper if caught early enough.

    The ferrets get most of what i catch. The dogs get some too and i have the occaisional game stew if i manage to knock a pheasant out a tree or whatever. Remember youve a whole year of ferret feeding to do so even if you have 100 in your freezer they wont be wasted. Iv got 4 ferrets and they have between them one rabbit a day, thats 365 rabbits a year needed. Takes a bit of doin. Then the dogs have say two a week, thats 469 a year. Then you want some too. How bigs the freezer? Basically, if theres room in the freezer i just keep sticking rabbits in it till there aint.

    As above, just "get to know" each other first for a month or so. Plenty of fuss and talking to him in your best "baby" voice. You gotta do that before you let him off the lead or he could well decide he dont feel like coming back. Then i would get him into an enclosed area somewhere where he cant get away (a tennis court etc) and take the lead off, have a bit of a run and a play then call him back to you. If he comes great, plenty of fuss etc. If he dont come, keep working on your bond.

    I'm no jamie oliver....(shut it lab boy) but, you'll need to warn people they have been frozen cos I dont think you can refreeze stuff... or is that just chicken??? Rabbit tastes like chicken.... dunno cheerz pal, its mainly p@kis dat buy um any way so i jus wont say anything!!!haha PMSL!
