well Gwen finally back to normal after her first heat...she's been a pain in the arse ...combination of youth and breaking down .. hormones all over the place lol ..shes 10 month now and all going to plan ..done a bit of ferreting and a couple spins on the lamp ..she's caught a few now and behaving really well in general. I was up at 5 am today so grabbed the lamp and headed off with her..short walk and lamp on... let her go she was unlucky on her first run losing g

I like this bitch pup ...she's making a decent size too mate .. Not nice when owners of dog's can't control them ...could have been nasty ....last lurcher i had got set upon at 6month old by a pet collie ...different situation but pis*ed me off and he never approached a strange dog again ... Your doing a good job with the training ..fair play im sure this time next year she'll be repaying the time you put into her ...atb sesku -

she's 10 month now ...yours could break anytime just keep an eye on her . First signs for me was her digging and she had a growl at a dog few weeks back ..out of character for her ...."Running dog maintenance" has a full chapter on bitches in season ..very good book .well worth a look .atb sesku

Its not that they are deep sets..its just sometimes they are under a nice big slab of rock that you got to work around or through..lol. and not the easiest of digs when teetering on the edge.... good do lads dogs will have worked hard for that bag

I got a border terrier bitch here had her speyed she was in season 3 times a year drove me nuts ...had a couple phantoms also ...

Id have thought not ..but reading up on it today and it was all new to me ...differs from dog to dog ..suppose if you know your dog should be able to see if she struggling or not so ill be keeping a close eye on my pup see if she gains weight etc

Ha ha fu*k the rollers mate ..mind numbing. i get plenty exercise and to be honest my spare time is limited ..got four kids so my bike rides are mainly very early mornings whilst everyone else in bed ...and getting out with the dogs takes priority during winter ..

got myself a road bike last October ...im no bradley wiggins but enjoy the exercise and dropped 20pound in weight without changing diet in 12 month ..not keen on riding in winter but come spring I'll be putting in the miles ..works out ok ...hammer the dogs thru winter and hammer myself thru summer lol ..

Well my pup Gwen in the middle of her first season (heat) and all quite normal behavior so far.. Iv had the disobediance and change in temp prior to me noticing her break....she's still been getting well exercised early mornings but not off lead i dare not risk it and she's still looking grand for a pup . So im thinking to myself another couple weeks and all back to normal etc .....erm it appears not... Iv just read the chapter in running dog maintenance "bitches and their season".. Seems that it's post season that problems can occur ? Softening of muscle increasing chance of ligament and musc
