  1. Totally agree, they are as game as any bullx and better all rounder with good harsh coat to withstand the weather. Not as head strong as a bullx but can have a liken to sheep.I find them easier to handle around terriers more bidable but everyone to there own.
  2. Very hard got now but must farmers would be able to get it for you once they have a herd number, also penstrep is very good has all the stuff in it and easy enough to get hold of.
  3. A good steel bar about 4 to 5ft long and good hearing + A terrier with good voice and dont go diging on a windy day.
  4. Think you will be waiting that 2year if you ever find one.
  5. But they expected probably what we all expected, a negative view on matters. And if you don't have the people around who can explain things well, you can do more harm then good. So who knows, better that they kept them out. You could be right considering the shower of fcuk's that were outside protesting, one of them dont live too far from me and she is a dangerous c**t.
  6. He dont need help he needs to wise up.First he says he started the bitch at 4months and she took to it like a duck to water then he talks bout these killer rats smashing dogs to pieces his words not mine, like i said he should wise up.
  7. They must be serious fcuking rats, were you drinking or smoking the funny stuff.Bit off advice QUITbefore you make yourself out to be a total plonker.
  8. Im getting a hardon thinking about her any pics, this site gets more fcuking silly by the day.
  9. Not trying to stir the shit but why do you want to breed her if she is only 3year old she cant have a lot done 1or 2 seasons at the most,so she not a proven bitch yet imho but she your bitch so do as you please.
  10. Alumicen spray and a jab of penstrep,or betadine wash very good stuff and synulox tabs if you can get them.
  11. Think the lads from the edenderry coursing club should have let reporter in to speak to them, but overall no harm done.
  12. I think there is just as many jibbers in patterdales as any other working breed.A lot depends on how hard they are worked and how often, and the quarry they are worked on.Pre ban when lads could dig badger i seen a lot more russell types or russellx than patts, then there was'nt as many about then over here, maybe thats why there is such a suscess rate now cause nearly everyone keeps them.IMOP they are no better than any other terrier that works, they all do a job at the end of the day.I keep a couple as do the lads i dig with but we also keep other stuff every bit as good if not better.
  13. Not bothered what breed they are as long as they do the job i want from them,ie...find,and stay till dug to no matter what the depth or what sort of soil or situation it may be.They are all terriers whether they be black white smooth or rough, hard or steady as long as they do the job thats all that matters.
  14. good luck mate There the fcuking criminals not us,weve been robbed blind by the goverment for years and now they want to take a3way the little bit of pleasure we have left.Im about 37 years diging and i aint gona stop cause sum c**t in a suit in an office somewhere says its wrong fcuk them.
  15. There can be some good well ran working terrier and lurcher shows.I dont go near too many, but went to one local to me last year.It was the WESTMEATH HOUNDS WORKING TERRIER AND LURCHER SHOW and i have to give credit where credit is due and say that at least 90% 0f terriers on view were workers and easy to see that they were worked. From what i heard the judge mr john park said that it was the best display of black dogs he had seen in a long time. Its the big shows that are a fcuk up,you wont see too many workers at them.
  16. I have both in kennells at present. The wheatonxlakeland is 3quarter lakey quarter wheaton and was a very good dog but age has caught up with him and he is now retired.A very hard dog in his day, never let us down and well able to reach his quarry.the bullx is a straight staffxpatterdale and is working very well,a bit on the hard side but that never bothered me,as long as they find and stay i dont mind what way they are bred or how they work. His sire was a well and truly tested patt dog bout 9 year old and the dam is a small staff bitch that when given the chance works her heart out.As for which
  17. Still better to get her sorted could affect her true time.
  18. Agood working border is hard to beat, pity the show fraternity had to nearly destroy the breed, very hard to get proper working borders now.
  19. Wait till the dog serves the bitch and if he does then wait till she has the pups if she does, not everything goes to plan, you know the sayingDONT COUNT YOUR CHICKENS TILL THEY HATCH.
  20. Have to agree,it dont look very sporting, but everyone to there own and nice pair of terriers.
  21. Anyone on here ever see a big blue dog called WHISTLE belonging to ts from westmeath,i think he was bred by jy also westmeath who was a friend of pk so could have pk breeding in it.He was a big deerhound type or looked like he was bred that way but was a demon on hares, and could go for ever.
  22. Bet you dont call em SETTS anymore D.
  23. Great looking pup MUSTARD did you breed it or was it bought in,hard to get the old nuttal gear now,atb with it.
  24. Ask and you shall recieve, too many dont ask and go on land regardless of what the owner says and eventually get themselves ran along with lads that have permission because the farmer is pissed with the whole lot,and the easiest way is to stop everyone from goin on the land.
  25. Your right TM not worth an arguement,my dogs wont mark rabbit cause i dont hunt the fcukers, anyway its his fcuking pup let him do as he pleases, atb
