TEAREM i dont think bull blood has anything to do with terriers fighting.The worst ive seen was two JR they hated each other also ive seen lakey's at it non stop,and as for bull's or bull xs having no brains that's total BULLSHIT cause they are very intelligent with a big hunting drive and unless some other dog starts on them there's no prob with them as long as they are reared the right way same as any breed.

That's ok if you know the vet and can trust them,took a bitch to vets a few year ago not in gud shape and was told to leave her that they had to put her on a drip.The next morning i phoned to inquire and was told my bitch was pts due to kidney failure resulting from the wound's she had taken.When i went to pick her up i was met by a load of questions as to how she came about her wounds and threatened with the ispca.I know they put her down on purpose but there was nothing i could do,never went to a vet since.

Seen dogs run red stags but no way wud they take them down unless the stag stumbled or hit wire,but not on open ground,a hind yes stag no.

You've got a way with words D....... Cost just the same to feed a gud one as a bad one,the dog they killed was a gud dog.I kept them till they were well over 2year old but enough was enough so pts.

A terrier that is a fighter is a nuisance and 9 times out of 10 no gud.Had a gud dog killed by two young black dogs 2year ago,and when it came time for them to work they were shit,only time they went to ground was when they were buried.

It dont matter what breed or colour they are as long as they do the job you want them for.Forget about the big names go to someone local to you who works there dogs reguraly and get a pup of them,WORKER TO WORKER.

Got bit on the forearm last year when taking what was supposed to be a dead fox of two terriers and lurcher,very sore especially when f*****g lurcher still shaking it.

Ive seen little russell typs destroy foxs to ground and also seen big bruisers of pats stand of their fox,they all work in different ways,best ive ever seen was a little lakey bitch that was to ground on badger pre ban for 3 days she was a demon on fox after that,lost all interest in billy,she could be tried anywhere.Can i hijack this thread now and ask,IS A FOX A REAL TEST FOR A WORKING TERRIER.

Finished last friday,dont like diging cubs,was out with gun club on sunday but only had lurcher with me.Finished now until september unless i get a call from a farmer in trouble,cant see the point in killing next seasons sport.

OK hard to me would be a terrier that will take stick without making a fuss and next day be jumping at the pen gate to go again ,not .curled up in a ball feeling sorry for itself cause it got a few tips on the nose and if a terrier is looked after right after a dig,not just cleaned it should be fit to go in a couple of days

Why do most lads think that because a terrier can kill a fox in the ground its hard.Ive had several terriers do it time and time again but they were'nt hard they just knew how to do it without taking punishment in the process.No one wants a dog that is goin to be laid up for 3weeks out of every month cause its not a long season.The most inportant thing and this is jmo is when you break through to the dog or bitch that there with the quarry,nothing as bad as diging say 6ft and just about to break in and they move.Thats when a terrier has to up it a gear the last ft of the dig and if it has to t
