    i have fed and will feed pork to the stinkers its salt content in pork that you have to be carefull of. i have taken in a few ferts over the years and was told years ago to get some weight on them its a good idea to give them a bit of belly pork with its high fat content. in all the time ive given it to them ive had no probs just dont go giving them salted pork or bacon and the like.

    got a spot near me that has a bank that runs for nearly a kilometer its riddled with holes its been like that for at least the 30 years i can remember i would hate to count the amount of holes on it but would possibly put it over 500 over the years i have taken a good few from this bank and lost as many again over time the holes have been joined together and i should think that they are all connected at somepoint or another i use the dog now to tell me where the rabbits are and just ferret that spot with the long nets and a few purse nets on the top bank

    have a look in the stickies top of first page loads of net makers listed there cant see the postage been that much from them might pay to ask. also these days id go for the spun poly nets much better all round net.

    nice build mate but could do with been a lot bigger. ferts are best kept with room to exercise.

    got a very dark sandy here that could poss be described as ginger hes in summer coat at mo and i have noticed a very dark nearly grey streak along his back possibly gives him the dark colour in winter id just call him a dark sandy mind.

    longnets tend to be 4z 0r 6 z not 10 z helps them wrap up the rabbits easier

    loose the gloves as rake says just handle em more i put a bit of lamlac on me finger end let the kits lick it off if they bite i just gently push my finger into the mouth till they gag a bit few times of this they stop biting the fingers

    it can hit the numbers hard for a couple of years but they usually come back if left alone. a spot i used to do got mixi then a couple of lads went in to the farmer got the permission and wiped the remainder out not been a rabbit on there for 5 or more years ballsed up the only bit of permission they had.

    take it to the vets and get it looked at if i had a bad leg and a wet arse id be going to the quacks for sure

    poss find his nuts drop later in the year early next year only possible when the vet can see em make sure you ask the vet if hes done ferrets before mate of mine had it done then had a litter from said ferret coz vet had got wrong pipes.

    had one like that a few years ago it used to throw itself and the cage when ya went past i used to put the food in when it slept. it would never tame no matter how much i held it thing give me no end of holes in me hands. ended up at vets to be pts as she was never gonna come to terms with been handled

    got some steiners here and i tried them up against the swarovskis in the field and i preffered the steiner thats why i went for them i have the rocky s 8x42 never had a problem had em ten years or so now i would highly recommend

    keep a good eye on her they should never drag their bellys under normal circumstances. dont overdo the cows milk ferrets are lactose intolerant, try giving her an egg maybe anything thats going to be easily palatable for her. give her access to plenty of water aswell whats the weather been like down there today it could be shes suffering from the heat its been boiling hot here today fast way for a ferret to go is in the heat.

    had the same earlier this year got her in the house when i noticed by morning she was gone id get her to a vets asap get some milk and fresh meat down her and hope she does ok mine went down that quick i didnt get chance to get her to the vets at first i put the weight loss down to her season and time of year and because she was so small anyway it happened real quick atb mate

    just picked me self a couple of new kits up today cracking little things aswell good shape and size just put them in with the older jill and shes looking at me as if to say thanks a bundle. love having new kits in the hutches loads of activity play fighting and exploring their surroundings older jill (1 year) is now joining in nearly as much fun watching em play as kits as it is when they get there first coney.

    from home or out working? lost a couple of mine from home hutch was opened. i set up a few live catch traps and got em back within 24 hours if at home they may come back get the hutch open if you can or a couple of boxes with a bit of bedding down often works when they want a drink or a feed.

    similar to what im planning dancing dog do you have any issues with them climbing and falling down again i know there tough little gits but still i would of thought that the fall from the top would hurt or have you got round this be interested to know as i plan on similar as i said

    ferret was found living out and about so i took him in have had a few problems with him and ticks given him the once over with the frontline and the otom but he has been getting a few afterthat got some insecticide to do the hutch with tommorow so should get rid for good havent seen any for a few days though so may be ive solved it

    the guys big and loud gets things wrong and swears. f**k me boys were all perfect, svelt olympians and not one of us f*****g swears. the lads out having a go and by the look of it and what tugs said hes helping getting people out doing it. surely thats what its about i would rather spend the day out with a few like minded people having a good day and a laugh then not been out. yes there are days when the job needs to be done and field craft and quiet comes in to it and a quiet group of likeminded people are needed to do this but let the lad be ill stick me head up and say im not perfect.

    gettingthe same here not blood like you say cream coloured liquid i think it has something to do with the frontline doing its job they dont seem to be getting bigger either but thats probably down to me removing them all when i see them.

    i get rings from agouti as well and i just put in the order for a loomis suitable for the rings get about 3/4 through a net before changing with spun poly i do 4ft nets 17mesh wide
