  1. True enough Had 3,all x racer's, ignorant in the field, none would cross a ditch or fence or go through a gate, all pulled up at ditch while running rabbits, the last one done it for me, my terrier bolted a rabbit out of a break and I slipped, he ran up and whipped up the terrier, nearly killed her, he ran no more after that. Maybe as briddod says, bring them on from pups, but i'd never keep one in my kennel again.
  2. Was getting worm doses off local vet for my dogs and also asked for dose for ferrets, he said ferrets don't hold worms, said intestines are too small, right or wrong I don't know, just what I was told.
  3. Just had a look hunt mark, nice selection alright, but like Kinderbeano said, I,ll wait til I,m there and check out a few suppliers, Birr, here I come.
  4. Thanks lads, I,m in the south (Wicklow). Kinderbeano, will they have a decent variety at birr, don't want to travel only to find they only have the 4z one's?
  5. Just went to order 20 nets from 'Bridport Nets' and they are charging 25 pound postage to Ireland, its nearly the same price as I'm paying for the nets. Very dear I thought. I've been using the 4z nylon for a few years now and am fed up with them getting tangled all the time on the ground I work, so I want to get the 6z or 10 z nets, so any Irish lads know of anywhere in Ireland I can get them? F all on e-bay either, mostly 4z. Thanks

  7. Am looking a digging russell and was directed to this man, he's up Fermanagh way and was wondering if anybody has or works these dogs and what they're like, thanks for any info.
  8. Found you :)

    sent you a pm!

  9. Some cold and windy days out ferreting according to some of those pic's, looks the business though, and some people call this sport, other people would call us lunatic's . Looking forward to season too. Tom
  10. Nail on the head there tassa. I know for a fact lads down here ar banging an avarage of 10 a night . Thats alot of foxes. Aye, don't take a genius to work out that at that rate they'll all be gone but the rifle gang are too thick to realise. They just keep shooting, dumb as they are, & then wonder where the foxes have all gone. Dont get the shooting thing, you could have shot every fox i seen last night, all well within range, and standing still. Fair enough if it's pest control, but lads are pulling up at gate's on permission they dont have, bang bang, and DRIVE to next gate
  11. Has anyone noticed the amount of foxes about, I have been seeing more and more while out bushing during the day, but have nothing to run them, anyway while out lamping last night we counted 16 foxes, alot of them young, but still this is mad numbers for this area, anyone else seen a boom in numbers?
  12. like the whippet northwestmitch, my kind of dog.
  13. How's it going w/wicklow, back in the 90's a lorry overturned in Rathdrum, it was transporting mink, 100's if not 1000's escaped into the Avonmore river which flows through Rathdrum into Avoca, they have trived there since, my father has a full time job trapping them to protect his chicks and ducks, he showed me one last week, only had one eye, weird looking f**ker, so yeah, there about.
  14. They look the business lad, nice pic's.
