  1. cracking pictures mate tham dogs as sadi look in tip top condition
  2. as stelthy says just add a couple of extra holes youd be suprised how tight they need to be if you can force your finger under the collar you arnt tight enough. once you have that sorted just cut of the excess so that it cannot interfere with the nets. after a while they become used to walking through the nets with the collar. but like i said they need to be fitted right otherwise you will be digging to just the collar. keep at it mate it will put a few more rabbits in the bag for you. glad to hear that you had a good day all the same atb for the season
  3. good day there mate the fast frantic action is good but like you say you cant get all the holes and all the nets covered atb for the rest of the season
  4. technology to make these items is relatively simple been able to do it at a cheap enough price and make it last is the problem we are seeing with deben i think thats why its not being taken on by others. having had both boxes over the years they are both similar in there use there is no black art to using the mk 3 its just the same as the mk 1 in reality. regards all the issues with the mk 3, the mk1s where also inaccurate, and often if working near a wire fence they would not read accurately and suffered from interferance, and depth was not allways accurate but they had very few breakdowns al
  5. fed both to minenow and in the past never had any probs but onlyu fed as a treat they go much better on full carcass rabbit
  6. only problem when getting another is that they will fight when they come into season next year if you leave them intact mate of mine had this a few years ago left 2 hobs together to long and they fought till one of them was very badly injured and it only survived because he got there in time. so if your getting another then get them both chopped or be prepared to seperate them from feb to sept at least

Went out this morning to a bit of permission i have, took my boy with me ( i would of been better off taking the beatles and their instruments) well any way we got netted up and entered the small gill who promtly bolted no 1 of the day for us she then had no further interestin going back down so i swapped her for her sister and gave her a run through but again she showed no interest. moved on to the next set and got on with the netting up. bout 15 holes here but only a small warren most holes are close together with 2 holes mostly coverered by one net. entered both ferts this time and stra

  21. from my experiance if the land is keepered then the best person to ask would be the keeper most farmers would point you in there direction anyway. often best on keepered land to get a bit of beating in a it gets you infront of the keeper but also gets you round the land. getting permission half the time is about trust would you want someone that knocks on your door walking round your back garden without knowing them. im not saying permission cannot be gained from just door knocking coz it can but it helps to get your face seen from a few people in the know as in all walks of life its w

  23. handling them more will be the best option as stated
  24. i also use the bulldog rabbiting spade very good in sandy soil on my spots also use a standard spade thats been cut down on the blade to form a smaller digging blade 7 inch where you put your foot down to 3 inch where it digs and boy does it work i can dig down with this taking out less width to start with if that makes sense
