  3. tegater after all the messing about she had done i didnt put her down again due to not wanting to wait another couple of hours lol but what a hell of a scream she had on her you would have thought id pulled her leg off or something. off this week so she will get another run out got a few small warrens to have a dabble with so should be ok as to getting her back atb muddy
  4. i allways work on the principle of a pole every 5 yards depends where you get the net from as to the amount of bagging/kill but if your knocking a net up yourself then 100% bagging is best ie 36yards on 18 yard lines. as for a trammel i have never used one personnaly but have seen them used and they will bag up a rabbit well but they can be a sod to remove due to the design. looking through the peg to peg book i have it says 4" inner mesh with 9" outer mesh made in three walls 9/4/9 hope that helps
  5. strangely enough she too is a poley been fine up till this incident
  6. its ok jamie as long as you look after it it needs carefull drying out after every trip or it will rot from the inside out and dont dry it on a radiator it just rots faster. once made its a good recomendation to dip in cuprinol or wood stain preserves it that bit longer.
  7. spun poly only these days
  8. i can get chuddleys for 18 a bag in immingham lincolnshire but its bag under a different name thats for 15kilo
  9. after yesterdays outing been to check on the ferts today and check them all over. took out the jill i had problems with yesterday and put her on the grass to have a sniff about. when i went to get her she bolted to the nearest bit of cover and just kept nosing herself in and out when ever i went near. i left her well alone for about 20 mins by which time she was well away from the cover i went to pick her and she bolted for it again so i left her under and watched her every time i made a noise weather a cough or a footstep she went back under spooked. hoping this is not gona stick coz she was

  11. ive felt like leaving them alone aswell in the past but its on some of my best permission so gotta be done had a fert under for 10hrs before i got her back filled it all in and went back later started searching with the locater couldnt get a fix so feared the worst. dug out one of the holes to leave me trap in and she turns up bleary eyed covered in blood she seems to have enjoyed herself digging must have moved her on towards the sound. best dig though was to a russel that went to ground belonging to me uncle luckily i could hear him under the ground so could get a fix on him by the time we

  17. TRY THIS LINK MATE SHOULD WORK IF NOT YOUTUBE MK3 FERRET FINDER SIMON WHITEHEAD
  18. i can sometimes be working some big sandy sets 15+foot deep so a ferret that moves on is best for me. and i dont want to many digs to that depth in a season. the first dig of the season is allways the hardest but they do get easier i usually block up the warren and move on to the next then come back if i have one that stays down. i then check the warren for the location and then start digging or use a live catch trap and a gutted rabbit if i cant get a fix on it. not lost a ferret yet touch wood
  19. check the strong stuff website i personnaly either use one of these or a deer stalking bag
  20. i usually get a well made rabbit hutch and change out the mesh with some 1" weld mesh
  21. thats how i like them mate kill them and move on you found the rabbit aswell so best of both worlds
  22. gutted it still is not working brilliantly get it back to them and tell them you have paid good money for this kit and it should work as advertised there seems to be so much going on with these collars i think deben need to be doing more than just looking at stuff.
  23. is this now fixed ideation or still with deben
