  1. I can knit you a long net any size you want double knitted When you say "double knitted" I presume you mean double knotted!.....Why double knotted?...Do your single knots slip? Im no net maker mate, but think all single knots slip on nylon
  2. what a bloody good Idea ditch, as for the wormer mate, leave it for the dogs, get yaself some frontline spray (vets only) and give them a quick spray of that, as it kills ticks too, but ditch's idea is the cheaper and better sounding option
  3. yup, I've got exactly what you want, £100 each, or wait a few months and you can have kitts at £15 sorry, could'ent help myself, you may get lucky and find someone giving up, or look in the free ads and find someone who has had them as pets, but because the breeding season is coming, is selling them to save any aggro, but cant see many ferreters have 3 spare,
  4. or in other words, we don't
  5. differs daytime, pissing down, then prehaps half hour daytime nice then an hour or two weekends popping into the court all the time, so prob 6 hours in the 2 days
  6. well ya done the right thing by taking her to the vets, did he give an explanation etc, would think your gonna now have to play the waiting game, either keep her taking what the vet has pescribed and see if she gets better, or have her humanely disposed off
  7. quote; My friend has a jill, and she went into season. She was to young to be mated that year, but her castrated hob got interested in the jill and dragged her around and actually took her out of season. He had the jill in the neck and did all the right things beside penetrating. He even ejuaculated on her back. how can a castrated hob ejaculate, castration is removal of the bollocks??????
  8. think he meant to say "swells" up, but yeah probably smells too, have never put my nose that near
  9. yeah, i had horse too, gave me the trots
  10. glad you got them back, maybe you should feed in the evenings, more so as the days get longer, the flies will be coming next, feeding after dark, means no flies, also means no locks can be left open, if on way out/to work, as they can be checked again before bed
  11. everyone has mentioned ways to get the jill out of season, the reason being, that while in season, a jill is a lot more prone to infection through the vulva (rear end) as its so close to the hutch floor, years ago when ferrets were kept in poorer conditions, dirty hutches etc, it's more than likely that a lot of jills died through infection, thus it came about that everyone said, if you dont mate them, they will die, as once mated, the swelling goes down, and no chance of infection therefore if you keep your jill ferret in a clean condition, clean out daily, remove stale uneaten food,
  12. quote;Do not go for an RSH in pest control until you have at least 1 years expierence in pest control you will struggle on the course. This course is designed for people that have had some industrial experience , it not just rats and mice. no disrespect, but i beg to differ, mine was the RSH/BPCA and as stated, i had only around 6 months training, others on the course had nil, it depends weather you can retain information and then sit the exam, i did the 5 day course, and although i was worried that it was too soon, the examiners told me to "just relax and enjoy" the teaching, a few hours
  13. im just with the same company, when i started it was crap money, £16,00 but lots of perks, free van to use whenever i want and free diesel, a mobile with £25 of personal credit, now the free use of van is gone, as is the £25 of phone credit, they want us to pay £500 for any dig in the vans, weather its our fault or not, ok i now earn £26,000 but the amount of work i do, using construction skills has trebled some might say we moan to much, as some nights we dont have to start till 11pm and finish at 4pm, but working nights ruins your social life completely, as your going to work,
  14. nice pictures, nice looking dogs
  15. the bpca is getting harder, but hey i passed it a 41yrs having only around 6months experience as a pestie as you have a construction background, like myself, look for a company that does "birdwork" pidgeon proofing etc, you can do this as a full time job on its own, without coming into contact with rats/mice/cockroaches etc, the firm that i joined, took me on for my construction skills, within one and half years, they had paid for me to get different certs, including BPCA LEVEL 2 bisley safe use of air weapons cert first aider site person in charge pasma and ipaf, which are cherry picker
  16. as a pestie on the underground, we cull lots of pidgeon, as ditch says, we arnt allowed to use air rifles unless we have the bisley safe use of airguns cert/or simular rifles calibrated monthly shoot in two's, one shooting, one picking up/bagging/spotting with torch head shots only stick a section in, saying no pidgeons with a leg ring will be shot, keeps the racing pidgeon people off ya back, we only shoot at night, using a lamp as is legal, british transport police are easy to give us the ok, but when we under rail bridges, using local plod its a whole different ball game, i woul
  17. show's how good my glasses are.... I dont think it looks anything like a fox, more like some sort of cat, cougar ish
  18. how many more times is this gonna be posted
  19. you have more pic's if you do a search in the old pages on ferret courts, loads of us have put pics/links/video up
  20. yeah, in future, I'm sitting in the back of the car
