  7. and before you leave another post, asking about ferrets, take time to read the rules, top of ferret section page, that bit that says about text talking in your posts, and how any future posts, with text talk in them, will be DELEATED
  8. as your a new member, I'll let it go this time, but read the rules top of the ferret section page, your posts are full of text talk, bad spelling can be indentified, but future text talking/writing, will get your posts deleated
  9. will, did you bother reading from the beginning of this post, before leaving that witty remark because if you did, you'll see that some people said that their BEW's were moulted out silvers, hence my remark
  10. yeah, I read it to the end, welcome to the site
  11. the firm I work for has a few they do, well the day guys anyway, Im part of the night team, we only touch london underground, mostly doing rats/mice/cockroaches in the early part of evening, followed by bird work from midnight onwards
  12. are they BEW's or silvers again, you'll get differences of opinions, I say no to breeding silver to silver, now is BEW dominant or reccessive,
  13. why not, just ask the vet
  14. good looking set up you have there socks
  15. they are 2 disticntively different types of ferrets a siver is a silver and a BEW is a BEW ......... an old BEW jill i owned ........... are we all in agreement with that statement, so all those who say they have a BEW, that was a silver, you still have a silver
  16. Ive always chosen the name's by seeing the first thing when I open the door in the morning, just ask my son twodogsfucking
  17. out of the breeding season, they all live together, thats 2 silver jills 1 albino hob (bred 1 season, then castrated) these are the fferts I started with then also, 2 polecat jills (daughters from above) 1 silver jill (daughter from above ) 1 silver hob & 1 polecat hob (sons from above, now vasectamised) and 1 outcross sandy (intact) he's the stud fert at moment, breeding with the 2 polecat jills (sisters or cousins?) plus of course, whatever is bred and not sold on this year, will be housed in the court the court, is an old anderson shelter from the war, at
  18. well so far, Ive seen people suggest, longnets, live catch traps, snares, ferreting, etc etc what one are you going to go with? its ok asking for advice, but is it getting taken on board? maybe if you agree to give one a go, you'll get more advice on that subject
  19. I know what you mean but each to there own because if you saw a stoat in a cold area in winter what would you call it? As for wacko jacko   .D. I'd call it a stoat
  20. the length is around the 7ft mark, the top hutch is one long hutch, which houses 2 jills and 1 hob, the rest of my jills are left in the court with the vasectamized hobs, the hutchs below are split into 2, basically a sleeping/whelping box and a feeding area, I place the jills in with the hob a week apart from each other, then keeping breeding dates etc, they can seperatley be moved down to the single hutches, as they get near there time, the intact hob is left in the top half, untill all jills are out of season
  21. how can people belive there is such a thing as a black eyed white, then in the next sentance say, it was a silver but has moulted in my eyes (and maybe Im wrong) a silver, is a silver, and will always be A SILVER, no matter what she moults to the following year, and the same can be said for a BEW is the a scientific write up somewhere, that gives a description of the two different colours/markings, or is a BEW, purely a name/colour that has been made up over years of ferret keeping, my keepers, to describe their silvers that have moulted out???? this would be a reason, why BEW are so
  22. once all your ferts have been living in the court, you'll see how the jills get on with each other, as long as there's no real fighting (which there should'ent be) then yes, you could/can leave jills together when they are preganant, the only trouble I have found with this, is that although the other jills act as surrogate mums and help out, in the birth and looking after kitts, but if more than one jill is having a litter of kitts, both mine used one box between the both of them, thus you cant tell which kitts belongs to which jill, and for future record keeping, it gets a bit confussing, kno
  23. at last, someone not biting my head off thinking back to the dvd, yup they were dead one's he was pulling out, so maybe I got the wrong end of the stick on it's use and magwitch
