  1. in whos eyes ? a rabbit is a rabbit ! in my opinion, you cant stop ferreting just because theres young around, a kill is a kill. the only thing that stops me ferreting is not been able to get through the under growth. rich or, if his hat is on back to front
  2. all you would need to do, is become a donator, and you could advertise in the "for sale section" (£5 yearly)
  3. looks like the rabbits will bounce nicely off that
  4. both of mine took around two weeks, the silver hobs stiches looked fine and dandy, the polecat however looked manky, funny as manky is his name too, didnt put anything on either, just kept them in a spare cage for one day, then put them back in the court, this was a few months ago, both have healed up fine
  5. get more/some ferrets, they like rabbit
  6. if you want to stay within the law, then yes, on land that you have permission on, that will also include your back garden/yard, rats/rabbits/squirrel/mice all classed as vermin, and if you have a valid reason, then you can trap/snare/shoot/poison etc thats not to say, that trapping/snaring does not go on, in non permission area's, but if you were caught, you then cannot give the excuse of "farmer/owner,wants them cleared as they are pests" as they are only pests, when they are causing damage to property/livelyhood/health and safety etc
  7. Not that stuff that smells like bubblegum is it, you squeeze it up the plastic bottle & an amount goes into to a seperate measure thing thats the stuff kay, could sniff that all day, infact, we use a deodour type gel in work, that gets rid of the smell of dead rodents, that smells of cherry bubblegum, quite a few bottles of the stuff, found its way into my shed,
  8. it will take pidgeons out all night long on the underground, but thats a lot closer than you'll get to a rabbit
  9. presume you didnt have a loicator and collar then
  10. I'll second what kay said, I've always got the stuff they use to clean out kennels, pink colour and smells nice
  11. just keep checking the for sale board, people have already stated they have kits, but dont post any wanted ad's here
  12. how many ferts you got I have 9 and get through around 32 a month
  13. no need for me to put up too many, Im in quite a few of magwitches, but heres one from last week, blame the out of focus on richie, he took it, its an end of day shot, myself, ferreter216 and my missus, who although wrapped up like the abonimal snowman, assures me she had a great day
  14. same here, made some really good friends, and had some great days and 1 night out oh, and loads of rabbits
  15. nice write up, crow wing, twas a good read
  16. yup it does, got myself a mk3 terrier collar last week, its only the collar that is different, a ferret collar is 200mm long, a terrier 400mm long, I cut the terrier one down to 300mm, to use on my large hobs, works a treat
  17. accessed me pictures going by whats been said on prices, thats around £3.05 per victor trap, so the big cheese at an extra 94p aint bad as you can buy singularly just noticed Ive made a mistake on the position of the chin bar, will leave as is, and see what happens, but will convert the second on tomorrow
  18. had a couple of pictures to put up, but my phones gone haywire and i cant access them
  19. liked the look of the modified pro victor rat trap, but could'ent get my hands on any of that make, and as Im a night worker, we only get Issued with poisons and boxes, since getting chickens last month, I knew it would'ent be long before rats showed up, so already have a mk4 set up under a bucket , anyway, popped into "wilkinsons" and all they had was "the big cheese" at £3.99 each, how doe's that compare with victor? have modified one, and left one as is, to see if we get a different hit rate between the two traps, must say, putting the sliver of wood under the rear spring bars, certainl
  20. spoken like a true hunter
  21. cheers for that trappa, may sway me to get a few
  22. sorry rew, forgot to take the pic's, but magwitch has kindly done it for me
  23. well, thats answered my question, cheers all, who's going to post a video of one actually working, lol just another piece of useless info, but while wasting time looking around a large shop called QD's came across those cheap mole traps, bloody hell, everywhere's selling pest control stuff these days, well recognised the traps they are selling, are also being sold on e bay, at a higher price, plus delivery, so for the householder that wants to try getting rid of mr mole himself, QD's are better than e bay QD's £1.99 each evil bay £4.99 for 2 plus post
