  1. it really is a dog's life, taken a few minutes ago
  2. nearly choked on my coffee, prehaps its the spelling bulldog= bone "the dog"
  3. for the life of me, I cant see nowt
  4. needs the new revised price posted then, and stop with the daily bumping, or it gets deleated
  5. dont look at "cheap" you get what you pay for, you'll find chinky copies everywhere, but apart from not lasting as long as a good quaility trap, you can never be sure they will humanely kill the quarry, something that must be top of your list
  6. rabbits are classed as a pest species, therefore can be hunted all year round, they dont have open and closed seasons like other animals/birds, some people stop ferreting in the summer/breeding months, others like myself carry on
  7. even with correct dates, Ive had jills go a few days over
  8. not trying to start an argument here, but that still dont make sense, get rid of two as space is limited, but breed more
  9. which is why Im always wearey of who I give/sell ferrets too, especially youngsters, if they are under 18, they need to bring a parent with them, get the fert back, and have a bit more consideration for the ferret, next time you re home them..... oh and tell your mate from me he's a no1 PLONKER
  10. confussing as most farmers I know use salt blocks with their livestock, I too have small animal salt blocks hanging in the court, which Is used, and never had a fert die on me
  11. so wild/feral ferrets can get there hands on a mincer can they they are born with the "teeth" to do that themselves
  12. why did you even bother breeding, when your trying to get rid of a brother and sister from last year
  13. wrong, its the other way around, a mk1 box will pick up mk3 collars, but am affraid the only thing that will pick up mk1 collars, are mk1 boxes, with 5 collars, you'd be better off selling them on e bay, then buying a new mk3m with couple collars from the proceeds
  14. your right about country ferals being better than town ones, the ones on the underground would make you  just by the smell, as for food, Ive always followed the lines, if Id eat it, then its fine for the ferts, rabbits, squirrels, woodies etc, but Id never eat a feral, country or town
  15. when you cut open the belly, or the stomach?
  16. try using either rabbiting or ferreting as search words, also try deben, they do locators collars and nets
  17. dont know about spayed jills, but castrated hobs work fine
  18. hoping you mean re homed, rather than released, disturb the jill as little as possible, provide fresh meat/rabbit and fresh water daily, she will pretty much take care of the kitts, at around a week old you can try taking a peep at the kitts, sooner if you know her temprement, dont over fuss her, animals have been raising young for years without our help get reading up as much as possible on ferret husbandry, either search old posts here, or get down the libary
