  1. no idea, but would imagine she's had a few different owners, and used as a status symbol, has a few battle scars, plus the dogs home removed a few tumours from her neck and back, but dont know what type, Ill be getting in touch with them to find out more, its just crazy that she wasent re registered on the ear tattoo, but lucky for her, as she'll have a home for life now, she's also on medication every 3 days for the bad knee's, but she is a really lovely dog, not a bad streak in her, once we'd given her a bath her coat looks great, am sure she'll get spoiled rotten, when I first had her (
  2. she's settled in well, gets on great with both the other dogs,
  3. what do you feed him on?, tinned food is the worst, as it dont let the anal glands do their job, feed plenty of bone, may get them working on their own, if not get the rubber gloves out, your looking for a pea size lump either side of the anus, you can either insert a finger and squeeze each side, or use a milking motion with inserting the finger
  4. you'll find you dont always get the answers your looking for, but as stated, you had already said a trip to the vets was sorted, Id refraine from making comments like that every time a post is unanswered, or your warning bar will increase to deleate stage very quickly

  7. about 9yrs ago, after my divorce, I was a single dad raising 2 young sons, anyway I aqquired a 1yr old english bull terrier, by the name of jess, she had the ear tattoo for ownership, transferred all over to my name, about 18 months later the boys were settled at school, and not being the type to sit on my arse, wanted to go to college and learn some construction skills, and realised it wouldent be fair leaving jess on her own all day, so put her up for sale, a guy came and bought her, told him about the £10 cost of reregestering the ear tattoo, now 9yrs later battersea dogs home sent me a le

  9. prices will always differ, from free, to what-ever someone is willing to pay, Ive given away free to trusted members from here, or charge between £10 to £15 and if anyone ask's that are under 18yrs, I stipulate a parent must acompany them, advise the parent off what keeping a ferret will take, and also stipulate, that if the "hobby" gets forgotten, I will take the fert back
  10. that guy that asked for a buisness card phoned me earlier, he's located 5 minutes up the road, have arranged to ferret his patch 9th may, he's going to run the strimmer around all the warrens beforehand, so if either of you two are free again

  21. I doubt you'll find a "ferreting club" other than something online, as suggested, maybe form your own syndicate, or just use the forum to meet ferreters in your area, that can become friends who ferret together
  22. I'd ferreted a new permission a fortnight ago, with my daughter alix, more of a show your face type day, when Id also spoken to the landowner about their rat problem, anyway had decided a return visit was needed, before the undergrowth got too bad, asked ferreter216 and richie from here to give me a hand, although the weather looked a bit iffy this morning, and it was pi$$ing down where richie lives, we met up as planned at the permission, and it was glorious weather richie was on hand with the camera, so Im sure were get pictures added later, smart my missus JRT came along to help, and go
  23. no, but a ferret down the hole might, why not approach the "head" chatting about shallow warrens and ruts, and how it would be really bad if a pupil tripped/fell down such hole, and injured themselves, only for their parents to sue the arse off the school, as they knew they had this problem, but did nothing about it, thats when you mention ferrets
