  1. His early stuff I saw were miniature pits but slate grey . I saw some pics of rough coated stuff that he'd bred too earlier but it was the smooth black bully head that was his type .Wheeler took some of this and added more bull and it has to be said ,neglecting work he went this route I didnt see his early stuff just dogs bred from the early 90's onwards. The dogs i seen were at both ends of the digging scale, some were 11" rooters and some were big strong digging types. These were from the man himself not from other kennels and like i mentioned a couple were very border like in appearanc
  2. I ran a lot of young dogs on for Brian around that time and never seen anything bordery in any of them,a lot of lads breed black fells and patts quoting them as being bred from him but most have never come from him, his stuff at that time was very typey and the right size for work, like most breeders he ran 2lines and depending who you were or knew depended on what pup he sold you, I have seen a few of his smaller stuff lately and they look like black pugs,in all the time we ran pups on we never had a jibber, some were a little too hard for a long life but looked very similar, WM Ok mate i n
  3. Early 90's Seen some nuttalls straight from the man himself and they looked very "Bordery" .

  6. Yes clarissa was a right card, her sense of humour was great and her love of hunting had no boundries. I was fortunate to call her a friend and can still remember her and johnny sat in my living room having a "Brew". On one of their visits to my old home i treated her to a local delicacy and she was duly impressed. I nearly pissed myself when she said "AHH Liverpool the home of the Chip Buttie" it was her posh voice, needless to say she wuffed a few chip butties that day. Clarissa a true "Champion" of the countryside. R.I.P. old girl

  9. There wouldnt be anything direct as the dog died around 1992 in a kennel accident. The 2 bitches i have here in my kennels, one has Mcoy 10 times in her ped the other hes there 12 times. The fine terrier books/journals that Mr darcy produces have some good examples of dogs with Mcoy in their lineage. "Lass", "Annie", "Dexter" and "Pancho" all carry Mcoy. I know a few lads who were close to PB and they know their terriers and they say the dog was decent he wasnt hard but a good dog. cheers Grockle

  12. i didn't know that - assumed there was a bit of DH stuff in there and some unknown (boozer?) His dogs go back to R.Evans stuff me thinks but surely JP's stuff is JP's stuff now, hes bred a fair few generations now.
  13. The bitch is a "Topper" mate good luck with her.cheers Grockle I had a litter brother to that bitch of yours, always thought it was "SPIKE" to G's bitch from North wales that produced "Clay" and your bitch. Spikes owner took clay as pick and sold it to me.
  14. i know nowt just see a lad whos a keeper doing what he had to do and got slauterd for it know it all attitude i am no full or part terrier man , dont read my opinions if it bothers you I dont agree with the OP getting "Slaughtered" we've all cocked up over the years, i just find it your constant "Pecking" annoying. I should get out more and spend less time in this "Asylum".
  15. GTE why do you persist with the "know it all" attitude, you really are making yourself look "Daft". Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but when someone is being so obvious with their "Divisiveness" its quite sad.
