I think it was more of it been that there was a large population of badgers in this area, and there was setts outside the graveyard wall and its all beach sand so very easy for them to dig out. It was very up setting for the families whose loved ones were laid to rest there. Atb j

Don't know about them eating human remains, can't see why not. But I have seen badgers open up setts in a grave yard, bones and bits of coffins every where. Atb j

There's two little villages here where I live. One is called soupers and the other jumpers. And even to this day its a very touchey subject between them. Its one of the greatest insults to be called one or the other lol. Atb j

Most people in Britain have no idea what the famine was or what it actually meant.A million + starved to death and the same again having to emigrate.......they dont know about any of that. It means nothing if you don't explain mate a British author this year released a book about the potato famine in 1845 and he wanted to set the record straight and denounce the tales from the Irish that the British deliberately let them starve by exporting all the other crops back to Britain. mate of mine was there -was he showed them where the graves were((9 or 10 year old kids digging their friends graves -starved,buggered worked nearly to death))--fuckers were as bad as nazis or ISIS.that would have to terrible on him tt, to have to go through that again. The church have a lot to answer for through out history. A lot of talk of other religions and faith on here, where as the one in this country is on the same level as them imo.Atb j

I personally don't believe in any of it, reglion, but I also have no problem with either, as long as its not hurting anyone. I know and see a lot of people that it brings peace and ease too. Especially the elderly and sick. This is a good thing. That's what it should be all about at the end of the day. But where there is money and power, there is greed and corruption, pluse human twisted fantaies and base needs..... That is the church today. Its all about money and power, rather than souls savings. Never seen much good in the church. Never did any good for anyone or any place I know off. The main things its supposed to do is help the sick, the poor, the needy and education. They don't seem to be doing much of this. As for saving you soul, well it all depends on often you and how much you put into the collection plate on Sunday morning. Atb j

Letterfrack is just up the road from me. I know a couple of old boys that were sent there. I really couldn't believe what they told me. Only for I knew them, and it started coming out about place. How an adult could do these things to kids was and is sick and vile. These were sent there for missing school, or just been normal young boys. Also if the local priest thought that the family couldn't cope or control them they were taken away. Again all in the name of god. Today there's a lovely national park there, and the reform school is one of the best carpentry collages in the country. What
