  1. Why do you need a signal. Can you not just plug it in or have it connected straight to the main meter. At j
  2. Good going Neil. Our contract is soon up so will have to try that. Would you agree that the pre-pay is a lot better than the ESB, ect. Atb j
  3. Bloody photobucket lol. Has me head wrecked. Some pics hopefully of the bull/whippet. At j

  5. They put in a meter last year. It's going to be interesting when the bill comes in. Might just bore a well. Depends on the price's. At j
  6. That's true, also when you brun out of electricity in the middle of a movie or cooking dinner you learn to manage it better lol. Atb j
  7. We cut down our electricity bill by half with it onlyworksmatters. Most of the neighbors are gone with it. We gone from 170 a month to around 60. That's some saving. We don't have gas though on that. Atb j
  8. Why don't ye use the pre pay electricity. My sisters bill the other day was 380 euros. We have the pre pay here and the most this time of year would be 15 euro a week, going down to around a tenner in summer. Atb j
  9. I priced one today. 14x20 with 800 gauge plastic was 690 euro. Or a 16x30 is 910 euro. Hopefully the plastic will be strong enough. Atb j
  10. They were taken away to a pound cause they weren't been looked after. So no worries on that side. Atb j
  11. Hi all. Do many of ye lads use pollytunnels. We have over an acre of a lawn here, which is to much to maintain, plus after the neighbors horses breaking in and destroying it, we decided to put up one or two tunnels, and fruit trees as well. The size of the tunnels will be 15x20. Would be nice to hear about and see what ye got. Atb j
  12. Where you from ? Yes mate they are real handy, keep me on my toes though, they can quickly switch from been a good Shepherding dog to a killer, fortunately our sheep are dog trained and play by the book, but you still have to be 100% on the ball with them at all times. Multi purpose dog, good around the yard as a presence, they know who is allowed in, and are wary of strangers so guard real well, they pick fur up under the lamp, (took a while to teach them recall when lamp goes off). And during the day they herd sheep and cattle if required, in between they sleep on the sofa alongside u
  13. Is it an old programme tomo. Yeah the dog look tall and lean. Something like a skinny alaskan malamute. Atb j
  14. Does any of the irish lads on here know if there is or was whippet racing over here. Atb j
  15. They sound like real handy dogs rabid. Would like to see them working sheep. As you said it's down to the owner of the dog at the end of the day. But it's the dog that's pays the ultimate price for their laziness or lack of understanding. Atb j
  16. To be truthful blackmaggie my two favorite dogs are whippets and apbt. Also the type of fields I mooch on ranges from 1\2 acre to 3 acres with 3 foot stone wall around them. Rabbit is the only thing I chase now, I don't need a bigger dog really. Also if the bull\x bumps into a fox hopefully he will be able to handle him self. Atb j

    Phobias

Don't mind rats, dogs horses etc, but will not go near frogs either. Don't know why just can't stand them. Atb j
  18. Anyone watching it. Whast a great place to live for a simpler lifestyle. Not to pricey either. 45,000. Wouldn't buy a house for it. Who would do it if you had the chance to leave it all behind where you are now. Atb j.
  19. Very nice hc. What height is he. Really like the top pic. Atb j
  20. Atb with him for the future hedge crawler. Will be looking forward to see his progress. Atb j
  21. Looks likes a fine dog hedgecrawler. Is he a 3\4 bred. The fella I have looks a lot heavier built than him. Also is he very head strong. My one can sometimes turn a bit deaf. Atb j
  22. Sounds like great old times. Nothing what so ever like that here with me lol. Yeah I'm looking forward to see how this lad turns out. Hes just going to be a mooching dog and hopefully takes what ever he bumps into. The bitch I have is a small 18 to 19lb bitch. Tough as old boots and lighting fast. The young dog is learning a lot from her. How much staff do you think was in the whippets them days at the meets ray. Atb j
  23. Sounds like he was a real handy little dog Daniel. Pity he was nicked by scum. Atb j.
  24. Alright ray. Did you do much mooching with the whippets at the time. The one I have here throw more to the bull side than the whippet. Hes fairly heavy set and strongly built. Also what night did they make. Atb j
  25. Same thing as eating oysters and scallops alive. Also what about dropping lobsters into pots of boiling water to cook them. If thats against the law we will all get jail lol. Atb j
