  2. Thanks guys, and yes Andy we are very lucky to have them, and its a good supply of them swell, or finally introduced to the park district when some keepers from Annan brought 50 of them down by train to Manchester and then onto the moors. A couple more days when the snow has finally gone and they will be easier to spot on the hillsides with binos from lower down. There are spots up here when if you are walking without a dog, you can get really close before they bottle it. Like the brown hare they do well up here.
  3. I cant remember where it was now, but there was a town on the national news a few weeks ago where loads had turned up. Quite spectacular little birds.
  4. Went for a nice little walk with the mutt this afternoon, still a fair bit of snow on the tops, and a good few mountain hares in their winter clothes. Unfortunatly with an active terrier hunting all the ground in front of you I only got to see their tail ends. I have had to crop one of the pictures of the hare!
  5. Plenty apply for an FAC first because that is all they need. Co terminus does nothing other than save you money by only calling out the feo for one trip rather than two. Financially it makes sense.
  6. Used to use Metcheck and accuweather but now use weatherpro and normally it's bang on.
  7. Can't see any of the vids but all the lads are going on about it.
  8. Wash it out warm soapy water, stick it in oven on low temp to dry, squirt of WD40 swill around and empty. Alternatively tip out any particles, Wd40 shake and tip out.
  9. Rocket and aron pilot both good. If you don't have soil grow them in 17litre black polythene pots, they are much cheaper than these potato bags you see advertised. After potatoes are chitted plant them 4 inches deep and just cover them. As the shoots grow keep topping up with more compost so they are just covered until eventually the pot is full. Ready end of June. Use some vitax q4 or similar in the compost. (High bonemeal)
  10. Aluminium oxide paste will do the trick and maybe what he is talking about.
  11. Wonder if it is just a bad pair or made in china quality!
  12. My kids have worn seeland stuff for years and they do give it some hammer. No problems.
  13. I'm not having that grown men watch corry :laugh; It's bad all the same if its true
  14. No the dog was never returned mate..sick as a parrot at the time as the bitch was turning into a bit of a machine but hey ho we keep at it lol.. That's not good but something to think about
  15. Good to let everybody know about it Andy. Did you get dog back OK?
  16. Thanks Tyla. Excuse my ignorance but what is the bicarbonate and diesel method? Basically you soak the skin in a dust bin or similar and then scrape it clean. This is the hard bit, deer arent to bad but fox or sheep skins just ooze fat which is grim. I was shown to use a draw knife with the skin draped over a log, hold it against your belly and scrape away from you starting at the neck and working backwards. You then wash it in washing powder, cant remember now if it was bio or non bio, rinse it and leave to drip dry. Once the water has stopped running off it, stretch it out to dry either on
