  1. Cheers for replies lads There was a bit of cloud cover so the moon wasn't too bad, It's mad how one side of the road was dead and the other was lifting, I'll ask the farmer who's land I've got to have a word with the neighbouring farms and put a word in for me. It's ideal for me as it's the closest permission I got only about 1 mile away.
  2. Ive no real idea what to say just wanted to acknowledge your post and wish you/family the best you sound a good man. Cheers mate . can very young kids not get over diabetes if they deal with it properly? No, when they're young it's likely that they have Type 1 diabetes which means they have got a lifetime of injecting insulin to stabilise the glucose levels in the blood, because their pancreas has stopped working. Type 2 is what most over weight people end up with because their Pancreas cannot handle the work load it's having forced on it, and doesn't work as well as i
  3. Spent nearly all of last year on tesco jobs ( and one huge waitrose cold store), now ther's a recession tescos put stores up cause they know they'll get a cheaper price. We do industrial roofing and cladding this was all single ply roofs and fridge panel walls, I had at one point 18 lads running + me and my brother , The firm we were subbing to got knocked and subsequently so did we for 42k. It's put a huge strain on our business we didn't have enough in writing for extras we were pushed to do, and I'm still fighting for it now. With all my heart I want to go into their offices and smash 7 sha
  4. Love those pics lads, I love taking my lad he'll be 6 wednesday, has been ferreting and ratting and lamping once, just wish he would shut up He loves fishing too, he's my mini me. h
  5. That's a quality pup mate, started the season with a bang, nice one
  6. Just got in from a few hours on some new permission, it was shite. The only rabbits I saw was flying for the hedges as soon as the lamp flicked on ( and there wasn't many of them). These are big hilly fields so bloody hard walk too. Next to my permission looked a bit more promising though, being after midnight I had a little look and managed to salvage the night with 4 rabbits, not a big bag I know but at least I can tap the farm next door and see if I can get some permission there too. One field was lifting( she had 2 out of it) but they all headed to a big ground bury that I've had a look
  7. Winds up, cloud cover out tonight
  8. I didn't like to explain what "dogging" meant in English, to you lads, in case you thought I was weird !! LOL !! Cheers. They're gonna think your weird now mate going onto "ozziedoggers" and knowing what it meant
  9. looks a nice dog mate, hope he does you proud
  10. "ozziedoggers" I would've been concerned posting on a site with that name Glad it went well mate there's decent people in the hunting world, all is not lost
  11. Sonds like you've got good friends here and made good friends whilst away, exactly how it should be
  12. i agree mate but tonight would be a big waste of time wher i am the moon is bright as a mofo take them out tomorow and monday same as yaself We're posting at the same time mate but obviously thinking along the same lines
  13. its like broad dayligh art ther tonight mate got two pups runing dont wont them to hunt up eaven my old one would do it tonight Same for me mate my pup is coming on well, but still like to stack things in her favour, the winds are coming and she'll benifit tomorrow
  14. Full moon and hardly any wind, yet, here. Think it's gonna be tomorrow night and mon night for me. Although I agree if you only go out in perfect conditions you wont go out much.
  15. I'm gonna try this with my pup, her retrieve is not good enough and I can see the sense in this. I've done the conventional thing with balls and dummy and she's fine, but she's not so good with live rabbits. She's a nervy type and I think this could help this too, she will let go of anything on command so I don't think this will be a problem. I'll let you know how we get on
  16. Looks a real smart motor that mate, if you dont mind me asking what sort of money do you look for for a disco like the one pictured! PM me if prererred. That is smart mate that would be perfect
  17. I wouldn't go for a shogun or pajero mate had 2 pajeros and 1 shogun over the last 10 years and each one the engine blew, The last one is sat on the drive dead all seem to have a problem with the head and end up on the side of the road in a steaming like a huge kettle. Think I'd go for a toyota or landy personally, depending on money.
  18. I would be very circumspect were I to run without permission on the fens ,having my dogs confiscated, my car crushed and, a hefty fine does not immediately appeal. I guess I am just not, "Ultimate Predator" material.
  19. Well done mate thats a good bag, gave mine a rest last night after ferreting sunday and lamping monday night be at em again either tonight or tomorrow
  20. Nice one mate good bag that, sounds like the pups doing well
  21. Well done mate, don't forget your wet weather gear tonight

Thanks for the replies lads J Darcy: I know what you mean about stinging eyes, I'm trying to price work but the head aint there......... and the winds up and I got a load to do tomorrow...Why does work always get in the way. Simmonrocco: Get yourself some waterproofs theres bad weather all week
  23. thanks mate , you are spot on with your thread, they are alot more agile than what they look. And as you say at his size not really a rabbit dog but will get a few. And what he really bred for he is doing Brill He's not my dog so I can't comment too much, but he's impressed me when we've been out, not had much experiance of bull bred dogs and I was suprised at how versatile they could be.
