    Was sick of filleting come the end mate...Ended up roasting a whole fillet in butter, salt, pepper I'll be handing a load out tomorrow and freezing a bit, would rather it get eaten while fresh though.. well send some up here then Everyone's had a share now, and there's a little bit in the freezer, next trip out if I can get it up to you I'll send some on Bob. Or get down here for a trip!!

    Rose ann mate, mike baker is the skipper... He knows his stuff mate, not been out on shande myself, Used to go out on. Blue Thunder, Brian Deem was skipper, then Trinitas with his brother mike deem, both out of Exmouth. Started going out with Dave Harrison out of Dartmouth, after that, he's a really good skipper if you're ever down that way mate.

    I'm the same mate, I normally cook the Christmas dinner ( then leave the wife to clear the bomb site ive left behind) and I enjoy it but I love Boxing Day, just fill the table with cold meats, pickles, roast potatoes, and decent crusty bread and everyone dives in lovely..

    Can't wait, I love fishing the rivers.. The tidal Exe will get some stick, chub, bream, dace and roach.... Then smash a big mullet will hit you and there's not a fish that goes like a mullet on light gear IMO.. Gonna try and get in a few rivers I haven't fished this year too, the wye being top of the list.. Might fish a few matches on the local rivers, not bothered for years as can't be arsed carp waters much, but there's an evening league running local, fancy the odd evening match..

    I enjoy cooking and love grub Caught a load of cod on Saturday, so sat night it was baked cod in butter, last night a fish curry ( Goan recipe, green curry with coconut milk, made from scratch).. Tonigh traditional fish and chips with homemade batter, thick cut chips and peas... I need some meat tomorrow lol...I've given away and froze the rest, one little bit of ling in the fridge which my mum wants lol..

    Don't you start mate, the wife's calling me the bearded lady lol The only other time I've seen a basking shark was at porth curno, fishing on the rocks under the Minack theatre.... Caught f**k all, but what a sight, it was coming right along the rock face. We could only see the dorsal fin and tail on this one, but was enough for fin to think he'd seen jaws lol

    They were good old boys tbh Pip, they fish the Bristol Channel mainly and Poole harbour, so they're not use to wrecking... They managed to fill a box with pout, every fish weighed for their match.. The pout went fir the crab pots. I gave fillets to everyone who didn't catch a cod and filleted a decent ling up for them ( the crew hand caught the ling it was 15lb). I wanted to stay on the inshore wreck and fish for bass, but it was their trip and they wanted to fish for cod. I've got a few coming today for fish,plus a good feast later lol

    It was last a bit last minute, but I hoped there may be a space on a charter out of Exmouth for me and Fin when i called Mike last night, I knew he'd been having a few fish, both cod and bass were on the wrecks.     Congratulations to your girl Dave, Must be a few beers in celebration tonight, real proud dad moment. My girls started her first job, she's 15 and is working in a friends hair salon Saturdays.. School holidays this week so she worked Tuesday today and tomorrow......nice when they make you proud..

Cheque ,it's 2014 PayPal, bank transfer etc etc ,who writes cheques ,an they can be stopped or bounce. very true. you would have to be a right c##t to bounce or stop a cheque for a cause such as this auction. any one who tried it on with this cause would become as unpopular as the RSPCA ^^^ I agree
