Come on man up Remy, your a desert island surviving hero on this site now, stamp your authority, show her who's boss.. Then drag the pot lickers out to kill some shit... !!!
  3. I fished the Skerries about 25 years ago, the skippers who fish there are the best I have ever been out with. We fished it in March and the Plaice even though plentiful were not really in good condition as they had just spawned. That said we still had plaice to 3lb to the boat. I bet they are in primes condition at the moment though. TC Yeah they're good skippers down there mate, Dave Harrison on Gemini is one of the best I've been out with, the plaice are nice and plump now not like the spent early season fish..
  4. Definitely Bry, The summers flown by again, I'll be down for the cod and not the bass the way it's going!! There's been so e good plaice fishing on the skerries the last month or so, a mate of mine had 83 between 3 of them a few weeks back!! How's your fishing been going mate?
  5. Yes Ant, it's a full weekend Friday till Monday, we camp or if your lucky socks invites you into his cabin lol
  6. Johns trying to mate, he's done a cracking write up with pics, hopefully they'll run a little article. Also spoke to anglers mail about running an article...
  7. It does change every year mate, First year was McMillan nurses raised £1050.00 This year was make a wish foundation raised £1500.00 Next year to be decided.
  8. I'll tuck you in next to me mate, wouldn't want you getting scared when you finally see some proper fish being pulled in!! Lol
  9. Good result Ken, nice one mate..
  10. 2 years doing the THL fishing comp mate, some lads just come for the social and dont fish it's a good do!! Up to Ossie and Arch where it'll be next year, it's been on the 3rd weekend of August the last couple of years. Hopefully it'll be on again next as John said it's raised a lot of money for Mcmillan and Make a wish, plus it's a good craic with not a cross word either year.
  11. Cheers Lads I'll get a couple of dates and put them up then. It's around £600 to book the boat for the day and fishes 10 so £60.00 each. I've got a fair few rods and reels I'd be happy to loan, the skipper would probably charge a fiver or so to hire out rods, not too sure as most take their own. He has loads of tackle on board which is cheaper to buy than the shops and I've goty a load which I'd help out with. There is some really good winter pollack fishing best I've had is 19lb best I've seen is 23lb but there a lot of 10-14lb fish caught after christmas which are good sport and p

  14. Brilliant read remy bolt, really enjoyed that. TV and drugs aren't my thing either... A few weeks doing exactly what you experienced would really be up my street though.
  15. Cheers lads, Clive A few lads are up for a trip off here, I've wanted to organise one but ran out if time for a summer trip.. After Christmas until end if feb will be good for some really big pollack. I might just book the boat for 4 or 5 trips through the year I could cover places anyway and if a few off here come it'll be a bonus.
  16. After months of trying to sort the date we finally got out yesterday. Cushtymush had bid £.00 and won a day out on a local charter boat ( rose-ann out of Exmouth), now the pressure was on to produce a fish.!! It was an early start (5-30 from mine), Pete was early texting me at 5 to say he was outside, as usual before fishing/ hunting ( anything but work really) I hadn't slept and was exited to get going, Pete had brought his lad for the experience, the kit was already loaded and we were off. At the harbour the Chinese were already up and fishing for anything they can catch to be put in the m

  19. Lives are by far the best at teingmouth mate. Fish some of the rock marks towards Torquay, hopesnose, berry head, ansteys cove or meadfoot with the artificials you may have more success, or mare rocks at Exmouth, fish 2hrs down to low water and 2hrs up.. Early morning or evening tides are best.. Try the live eels late into the evening and into dark on either estuary. Keep at it they'll come

  21. While i admit to being one of those pushy parents who are shit themself ....it was certainly nothing to do with ego,my boy signed schoolboy forms with Leyton Orient and probably had the talent to make a decent pro unfortunately he just didnt have the hunger and desire...... i just couldnt understand that myself and we fell out over it but i think its the most natural thing in the world to want to encourage our kids to succeed in something we love ourself......we just need to know where to draw the line and i didnt unfortunately. You say your lads not a natural but does a kid have to be ?......

  24. My dad has a place in Crete, it's split into 2 apartments. With the big crash in Greece, it's become a bit of a millstone IMO. He diesnt use it as much as he did, and desnt actively rent it, it's there for the family as and when really. The big problem is it's not that easy to get too, and flights can be a bit costly, infact he'll often buy a budget holiday and bin the hotel cause the flights are more expensive than a package. If if was me I think Portugal or France I think, probably Portugal would be favourite, down around sargress anywhere west of Alvor really, and up the west coast a b
