  1. Great stuff mate, be good to see the boys... perfect bringing the chilli! Pre baiting will commence 10pm.saturday night! Lol
  2. Tight northerner only making a little bit is it?? Lol
  3. I'll bring everything to the comp on Friday, bbq, fire pit, wood, fridge for beers, etc. I can't stay Friday night, but will be there Saturday morning (once hangover has waned! Lol), missing you're chinky Sean, but see you there tomorrow for a brekkie... No Ken this year so no butchers meat, I'll do chicken and pork steaks in some marinade, plus grab a few sausages, burgers etc for Sunday night bbq. If everyone could bring something for the Sunday night that would be great. I'll bring a load of spuds for Saturday night, jacket spuds in the fire pit, will be cheese and beans... i
  4. I think your right mate, Bissaka was never a £50m plus player, he's not a bad player, in fact he's a very good defender, but he looks scared to death when he's got the ball in any space... it is a great signing for the Hammers at that price though...and yes, UTD shafted again!
  5. My thoughts exactly mate.. City are probably the most drilled side we've ever seen, everything is straight off the training ground and executed perfectly on the pitch....but... I find them boring to watch, and have said the same for quite a few seasons now. No doubt Pep is an all time great, but I'm with you, the sheer pace and direct football of those UTD sides and Keegans Newcastle were so much easier on the eye imo..

    London

Took the kids to Wembley last year to watch Blur, their faxes were a picture walking from the car park (we drove up and back), to the ground..." yes kids we are in London not Pakistan" ...lol
  7. Very often kids get guidance from many other sources than there parents, the only reason I got into hunting and fishing was through a chap who worked for my dad, first took me out at 6 abd I swear I was hos shadow until my mid teens, spent as much time with him in the fields as I could...lost my 2nd dad when he passed. Keep it up mate, you are only doing good things

Love a few days/nights in London, loads to do abd great places to eat/drink... we usually get the train up now, its a complete pain in the ass driving with the ULEZ zones and parking, tube is easy to use and we walk a lot, you see more that way... I love visiting the city and I love coming back to the country a little bit more... have a good one mate, your lad will enjoy it..
  9. Shhhhhhh or he'll never cum...
  10. If you ever get over to Devon I'll treat you to a "proper" cream tea mate...
  11. You may not have been born here mate, but you're more Devonian than most it seems...lol
  12. Home made chicken kebab...
  13. At least 2 inches thick in cream then a dollop of jam on top....hang your head in shame Arry, that ain't proper mate..lol
  14. Would you put jam on your toast before the butter?
  15. Cream then Jam, Keith... don't be heathen and go the Cornish way!
  16. George Furey..and the McGuinness clan..lol
  17. I like that version as we'll mate, the Mad Dog McRae version is my favourite though... paulo Nutini had a go at it as well, didn't pull it off...
  18. My parents ran a pub in Combe Martin, North Devon for 12 years, every year on the may Bank Holiday they had an ancient folk ceremony called The Hunting Of the Earl of Rone... their pub was the "stable" for the 'obby 'orse so they starred and ended the parade there, then drank and sang folk songs all night...it was a full weekend but as old English as you could ever get.. the pub is now flats a cry8ng Shane for a 400 plus year old pub, but the ceremony goes on.. I've not been since the pub ended, I worked the bar for then every year it was on, great nights!
  19. Some English folk, not the original (Richard Thompson), but my favourite version. Sean C off here played this to me at the fishing comp a few years back and its a fave now...
  20. Took my Dad to watch the Furys last year, after many years of not really listening to them me and my brother sang along to most of the songs, remembering words youd have thought lost in over 35 years of time! as a family of Irish descent Irish songs were a big lump of childhood..
  21. Had a real "moment" when me and the wife visited the Sacre Couer in Paris, many years ago. It's a stunning place anyway, but when we walked in the nuns were singing, it was very moving, my wife cried and every hair on my body stood on end...chilling to be honest... I'm not a religious man, but I seek.out places of worship wherever we go, we do a lot of city breaks and spend a good chunk of time walking around old churches, cathedrals etc... I guess we are all drawn to something, maybe Wilfs got it, in that it's embedded in our past and music brings it to our present...who knows...
  22. Lads doing great Sean, that's him hooked for life now!!
  23. used to catch eels a lot as a youngster out of the Exe, we lived right behind the lower reaches of the river so spent loads of time down there catching eels and schoolie bass.. one of the best baits we found was liver, an old boy told us to try it and we caught some half decent fish on it, the river was full of eels back then..we also used to "fish" the small streams in the reed beds further down river when the tide was out, you'd walk up the stream and turn the rocks, old tyres etc the eels would lie underneath these and we'd grab them and flick them up the bank then put them in a big bucket,
