I've no idea on stats or figures, but I will say what you can actually see is that it is light years away from London.. I've spent a fair bit of time around London over the years and there is no doubt it is multi racial on a massive scale..you just don't see that in Tokyo, we travelled around on the train every day. Popping up in different districts and walking around to get a feel for the plave. It is spotlessly clean, we saw 1 homeless person the whole time we were there, zero beggars, I'd say at least 90% of the people moving around were Japenese, the only couple of annoying people were ozz

Not at all Joe, that steak dinner i put up was £6, the ramen about £8 with all the extras.. train tickets to travel around were cheap as well. Compared to say London or New York you can eat and travel around really cheaply, it is after all a massive and fairly westernised city so not comparable to Thailand etc for cost imo

Thank you mate.. My girl got the choice of restaurant for final meal... she wanted to finish with ramen, and found a place that had good reviews, 20 minutes following Google maps and we had the best ramen, real local place..you order outside the restaurant on a machine, 1 man working the place and all locals eating..perfect end

Last day today, wish we had another week at least... Bullet train to Kyoto yesterday, 280miles in 2 hours with stops, the train is bang on time every time, we have used trains every day, the public transport is amazing... Beautiful sunshine for first 2 hours, 10 minutes from Kyoto, and we hit a snow blizzard...
  9. Not so much "what's cooking" but "what's raw"... loads of raw seafood..
  10. My lads been on to me to watch that, he said it was really good..
  11. I don't think it's that mate, its plain small minded behaviour, instead of listening and learning something some people need to believe they already know everything and are the only ones worth a voice/platform.. they are bores on a site like this, it offers the perfect platform of anonymity
  12. It's his type of input the site is sorely missing, now all we can talk about as UK hunters with dogs is the past or rabbits it makes quite boring reading, at times imo... Why people see the need to call out people with such interesting and diverse input is beyond me, but that's the nature of some I suppose mate
  13. Been bingeing yellowstone on the plane and over here, I know I'm late to that party but I'm loving it... bit like Ozark for me, up there with one of the best series imo

Do it Sean, it's an amazing place.. I prefer the small edge of city districts, more traditional places..but for a massive city it is a great place, done quite a few city breaks, and by far our favourite so far .

Trip to Tsukiji fish market this morning, this was the biggest fish market in the world and the record tuna was sold here for over 3m dollars, the main trading market is a few miles up.the road in Toshyo but a lot of the produce is brought here and put through the food outlets...what an experience, if you like seafood this is as good as it gets, mainly locals eating svd walking round, but I can imagine it would be full of tourists in the high season...amazing.. Sashimi snow crab Bbq king crab probably some of the best tuna in the w

First time here for us mate, and only a day in, but so far I really like it.. we've done a few cities, I've a feeling this is one we'll be coming back to.. We're a 5 minute walk from the Tokyo Dome so quite fancy trying to watch a game of baseball...I idea of the rules (throw, hit, run and shout strike every so often is about my grasp on it lol).. but it's something different and would appeal as an experience for me... not sure on the girls though, so might be a solo trip which will cost me as they'll be off shopping lol... Tbh I love just walking around and getting lost, people watc
