They've needed a proper CF for years mate, there's no focal point to any attack...perhaps the best midfield in the league, but nothing to hit... On the train on route to Manchester, meeting a mate up there then over to Old Trafford for the game tonight, gifted a couple of season tickets as the bloke couldn't make the game...3-0 up from first leg, what's the chances i watch the capitulation lol

Wow! Amazing fish mate...great stuff

Thanks Arry, I'll definitely get that.. Pulled the boat.out of the water this morning, been jet washing for the last few hours, brother messing with the engine.. fitting a new Simrad GPS/Fishfinder before it goes back in... its an additional £150 for the charts on the SD card, but will be hitting a few wrecks this summer so be worth it...

Love old places like that mate, swims with character, somewhere you can sit and blank but still enjoy the day...hope you have a few off it, but even if you don't im sure you'll enjoy it

The accessibility of modern carp waters and the ease of buying gear on line has reduced the skill imo.. learning on a canal, or river made you have watercraft... even at sea I'm constantly looking for a boil in the water, gulls working, flattening off of areas of water (showing a change of depth, or bottom), rougher areas where the tide runs harder etc.. the same story on a river, reading the water was key.. getting pissed in a bivvy for 3 days and leaving the rods out ain't fishing imo.. There are some great carp anglers though, a couple who have taught me loads over the years, a whole d

One of the festivals I always wanted to fish mate, along with the big festival on Muckno.. I fished Muckno a few times and it was a completely different water to anything I'd fished before...I'd of definitely bombed out in any match on it, but would rather scratch 10lb of fish in a real match then 100lb of fish on a commercial! Regards stick float and waggler fishing on rivers its becoming a dying art, Dave Harrel has started a newish river match program (probably 10 years old now), if I was still into the match scene I'd have a go in that tbh..

We would put up full posts of days out, with great pics (seanC is a pro photographer), pretty much every weekend I'd write a full post and it would be buzzing, JohnnyBoy and Jai would put good posts up on a Saturday night of their days ferreting... there would be good chat in the Lurcher section, we'd post a lot in fishing section as well... its how it's gone mate, the hunting sections are barely used.. im not into shooting but would read.tbr section fairly regularly... I guess time has moved on and there is only so many times we can write the same sort of things... plus half the members

It's changed a lot mate, shame really... met loads of good lads off here, a few blokes who are genuinely good friends now.. the majority are decent and share very similar view points and interests

That would be the fear mate, its probably to big a jump.. Nick Ball at Featherweight would be a good scrap to see... good for a UK crowd
-
Got up and done the business again though mate... he's so good to watch, got the lot skills wise and loads of heart as well... would be great of he could come up a couple of weights to fight a big name, but he's 32 now and a fairly small man..

Bass in my curry paste cooked on the barbie Bass cooked in lime butter with garlic and spring onion.

Yeah they are Arry, probably catch most of our bass on the savage gear lures though... They would have hit any Sandeel imitation yesterday for the crazy 30 minutes we hit them... gulls everywhere, fish breaking surface over a big area.. we searched all day for the last half hour of sport! Lol Spent a few hours out on a reef, no bream, just few strap conger and dog fish.. Caught a few schoolies first thing as we drifted the sandbar off the front of Dawlish warren/exmouth channel .. Wad a decent day mate

I agree that education is key..but.. everyone on this site has pretty much the same opinion/thoughts... its an echo chamber mate, there's very little written that is educational/thought provoking on here... its the same thing round and round and round again.... go into any post and within a page or 2 its back to killing the immigrants, sinking the boats in the channel etc etc...

Got to be honest it does get boring talking about it daily, we all know, we all do our bits to keep our culture and way of life (some small efforts, some bigger)... but the constant rattle on here, of drivel is boring... no one is out killing them, shooting down boats, or anything else.. there is no doubt there is a huge problem and our major cities are being broken to pieces (communities i mean)... but spending every day spouting on here is doing nothing, it's an echo chamber where 99% of the people agree and do exactly the same things... i got your Grandma about right, you must be insuffera

That's just the Bristolians mate

All on lures mate, Sandeel imitations mainly.. Fin tried a surface popper plug but didn't get a hit

Sean and Joe are at Luccombes this weekend, I'm looking at popping into seeing them on Sat afternoon if you fancy it mate?
-
He's changed Tomo, he don't listen to riff raff like me anymore... lol
-
Justin didn't want to come out, he stayed home for the day... I'll dock his wages for being miserable lol
-
As always mate! Lol Him and Fin had a decent bass each, about the same size.. We hit them right at the end of the day, had 15 or so in last half hour, 4 of us on the boat so took 2 each. Graeme caught his first bass, he loved it..

Called a bank holiday Thursday today, no work today, took the lads out on the boat instead. You can't waste days like this, flat calm sea, sun up all day and had a good few fish, loads of laughs.. Plus the best fresh mackerel baps for dinner and bass for tea... it don't get much better

I like a lady turned out well, and as my Mrs has always been in the hair and beauty industry it comes with the territory that half my money is spent on hair, nails, make up etc... I've given up checking the spend, I'm grey enough already lol
