The only way to truly protect your ears is with full coverage ear defenders, as only this type of protection will stop the sound wave from travelling through the bone at the back of your ear and still damaging your hearing. Any kind of 'in - the - ear' protection will stop direct sound and pressure wave from entering your ear via the ear canal, it will never stop the sound wave from passing through bone and then in to your ear. Good quality full coverage ear defenders are the only way to safe guard your hearing.

Hi, have a read of this, its good info and gives you a starting point for rule of thumb regarding twist rate and bullet weight: http://www.6mmbr.com/223Rem.html Also worth a look are the new Hornady V-Max 53gr, Im using them in a 1:10 twist and they group very well, plus a bit flatter and faster than remmy accutips.

223 with the new Hornady 53gr superformance v-max ammo, just got some and groups just as good as remmy acutips but a lot faster and flatter -
I have Vortex binos - very good, I did a fair bit of research before I bought them. I have also looked at the Vortex range of scopes, I did contemplate the FFP model, but dropped lucky on a Burris Tactical scope so that was the end of that.

Bipods mate I have an Edgar Brothers one, its a copy of the Harris Bipod but a bit cheaper. I dont use silencer covers, but there are plenty of neoprene type ones about, just pick your colour or camo pattern.

Take to stock off then spray the whole thing in WD40 and give it a good wipe over with a beer mat. Have a look down the barrel and see if its rusted, do not put any oil or WD40 down there. Go to gun shop - buy tin of pellets. Fire a load through the gun at a safe target in your garden. See how its grouping. Putting some lead down the barrel wil start to clean out any rust. Just give the outside a clean off first, dont worry about seals etc just yet as its made by HW and the internals may well be in very good condition even if its been in the garage for a while.

Cleaning rod, metal or wood it doesnt matter too much on a shotty as the bore is so big you shouldnt be able to scratch the bores A screw in brass brush in .410 calibre to scrub the stubborn deposits loose A Plastic screw in 'jag' A screw in fluffy mop to dry the bore out after cleaning A bag of patches or better - a roll of cleaning material - I used some stuff made by napier, it had a rough side for scrubbing and smooth side for polish Some kind of bore cleaning fluid - I just spray Legia Oil down mine then scrub with jag and patches till clean and dry works a treat. A bottle of thin g

Wanted £500 to spend... wont someone take my money?
markha replied to Wimza's topic in Gun's and Rifle's
So this should be right up your street then, a full set up with tuned trigger, super silent custom moderator, scope, mounts, mags, air tank and anti-tamper removed so you make sure your always under the legal 12ftlbs limit: http://www.thehuntinglife.com/forums/topic/223824-aa-s410c-22-full-set-up-for-sale-l55000-no-at-bangor-north-wales/ -
So what are these silencers and moderators that you make and are the best on the market called please ? Not being funny but thats a tall statement especially when there are companies like Evo Engineering/3rdEye Tactical making the Spartan moderator and Dougie Lorimers Vulcan moderator thats passed for military full auto use. And IM always on the look out for moderators to test. Si just go for it mate, but never put plans up on the internet unless you have patent them you just never know how good your design could be and then its been nicked by someone else mate.

At last some decent weather up here! I have ben waiting for days for the wind and rain to stop so I could get out and zero my new rifle, Swiss Arms SHR970 in .223. It was a great early morning drive, the 1st frost of the year in the valley and blazing sunshine too, lovely. Set a target out at 100yds and put a few rounds down, trying Remington Accutips and Winchester Silver tips in 55gr and Remington Accutips in 50gr boat tail. Tightest groups were with the Remmy 55gr. I put a couple of boxes through, cleaned and only had 2 rounds spare. Now those who have read my po
