new owner of a shotgun certificate - advice plz
markha replied to 19powell90's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Get the one that fits the best Lanber good first gun Bettinsoli all good Baikal - tried one and would have bought it but too heavy, didnt fit me, and the stock was made for people with massive hands, hard core agricultural russian gun. Go to your local gun shop and see what they have till you know what your looking at as the 2nd hand ,market can throw up some right shit especially after large shows like the CLA where the dealers palm off crap at unwary buyers then the gun ends up on the usual internet sale sites. Its your hard earned cash, respect how much it cost you to earn it -

Its a shame sure enough, but its the internet and we only ever get half the story half the time, there is always something left out. Thats what the system of checks is there to do, stop those with previous convictions, relevant to an application, from having guns. Yes we all make mistakes in our younger years, some are stupid and never done again, some people make more serious mistakes and go on to keep doing them. You were caught with an air rifle on land you shouldnt have been on, as far as the Police may be concerened they may well just think you'll go and tresspass with a shotgun and al

Foxing with Shotguns, following the Combines.
markha replied to bullmastiff's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
I guess this goes on, using the wrong tool at the wrong time and distance, best not to post botched bad shooting on here mate, only post the humane stuff. Thumbs down from me to your pal, sorry just the way it is. -
Same as a lot of the lads one here CZ. I have one of the new CZ same as jackiboi a 455 laminate thumbhole stock with a nice varmint barrel. Easy 1/2" groups at 100m, had a few crows today all out past 150m, farthest was at 171m. I love this little calibre. Even at 250m its only dropping 18" and with a 1mph wind i had 2" of drift, so its only on 2.5 mildots of holdover. I did a bit of paper punching today and 3 shot group at 250m was just under 2.5". Oh and the triggers on the new 455 models? Much better and break extremely well, far better than the old ones. I have been using the

Could well just be down to 'gun fit' as this is The Most Important Thing with shotguns, also getting used to and practicing mounting the gun or dry mounting helps a lot. At the end of the day, if you mount your gun and it doesnt point to where your looking then your pretty much on to a loser right away. Rifles are aimed, Shotguns are Pointed Unless you were shooting exactly the same layout of clays on the same ground, but getting different results with 2 different guns I would say one gun fitted better than the other, however if it was 2 different clay grounds or traps with a big differ

I know Darryl, but we would all know who did the work and made the donation and that is the main thing mate.

Hi all, Im selling my Remington 700 Police in .223 calibre as im after something a bit lighter for the field. What more can I say about it? Its a remmy 700 police special sniper model with fully floated aluminium bedded tactical stock and is screw cut for moderator. Its in good condition and shoots very well. 2 Built in swivel studs for sling and bipod on the fore and one on the stock. It comes with a 1 piece picatinny rail. It shoots very well indeed as you would expect.

Its a shame and to be honest a lot of the charities will have an exacting set of politicaly correct conditions about where they get fundraising money from and also the type of event/activity. I work with a lot of the major charities providing events for them year on year, The best and most sensible advice I can give is this: Sell the DVD as DVD in its own right, then make a personal donation to your chosen charity. Even H4H will not want to have associations with the lawful control of pest species using any of the recognised legal methods. Its sad but true. Dont get too miffed about

Yep that form is fine, dont forget you also need the 'referees' form for 2 referees plus 4 x pics, plus signed 'land authority/permission' forms preferably with a map of the permission, use 'OS Get a Map'. If the land has not been passed for firearms they will want to go and visit it, sometimes with you in attendance. Best of luck.

I'm always looking for someone to 'give me shooting rights' all I keep getting is permission to shoot over land. Blackcat there is a massive difference between shooting rights and permission to shoot over land, if you have been door knocking etc and asking for shooting rights I'm not surprised no-one wants to know.

markha replied to North Wales Hunter's topic in Clay Shooting
Doesnt mean to say he doest come on and have a mooch around under another name -
This is what I use for firearms so will be good enough for air rifles: NB: this is an agreement SOLEY between the landowner/owner of the shooting rights/occupier or tenant. There is no legal requirement to complete this form. Millsy, A break may have done you good, I have to admit I have been pre-occupied with firearms lately and the airgun, although its always been out with me, it hasnt had a look in till yesterday...I pulled in to one of my permissions where the crow problem was, I cleared it up with the air rifle and shotty and that was some months ago, just before the leaves returned on the trees,,wel low and behold another larger batch has appeared and these were young birds that didnt know me or my silver van The 410c was on the back seat along with the HMR,I pulled up under the tree, reached for the 410 a

Ah mate, I had to look twice then as I saw the coral and thought you'd got yourself a marine tank ( I always wanted a marine tank)nice one, at least tropical is slightly easier to keep clean than cold water fish, I had perch, tench, carp and anything else out the rivers I could stock my tank with, dirty as hell though, I kid you not the bloody filter I ended up having was half the size of a wheelie bin!!!! Get some guppies mate hahahahah

The final cut that is off to Nigel Allen
markha replied to zini's topic in General Airgun Discussion
Fantastic stuff Si and all those who were involve in this. Ill happily put my money up for a copy, Have you set up a 'Just Giving' account that people can send a fixed price donation to for the DVD? -
Martin, yes pedantic, but the two parts of internal anatomy have completely different names and are in completely different positions in/exiting from the liver, so when someone puts a very clear picture up and ask what its is I would hope that someone would give a correct and clear answer. In the case of this photo 2 it is quiet clearly the Gall Bladder as you said, however to go on and try to turn things as if Im wrong, and now a pedant is laughable. This is how the internet distorts and spreads lies and answers peoples questions with the wrong answer. If Irishpigeonshooter had left this

I dont see anywhere in 'The One' post saying Gall Bladder, He says its the bile duct and they are not the same and not in the same place......FACT.

Pic 1 is a cyst, end of. As for picture 2 Ill leave you to do your own research and then perhaps change your mind as well as the person who gave you an SP for your thoughts.
