  1. Ace Jim, hope you have a great time. I`m off in the morning in the camper, I have work to do on the shoot, then me and the lurchers are staying on the estate for a mooch. Anything rather than stay at home in front of that shitbox in the corner, I hate TV
  2. No bloody wonder the airgun section is regarded as the pansiest section on the internet ffs. Man up ! hahahaha
  3. Wouldn`t worry too much about it bud. There are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay bigger fannies on here than you mate
  4. Looks like a recipe for buggered wrists imo. I`ll stick with my splitting maul
  5. We have to jump through enough hoops as it is without encouraging them, so no.
  6. I have a P8 on my .222 but decided not to use it on my .243. Went out yesterday and bought a Ace Jet-z and things look good so far, It tames the flip well and is probably the quietest you can fit . Weight is 500gr compared to 840 for the P8 Zeroed at the pipe range and had a 3 shot group will all three touching on the bull at 100mtrs. Got a call on the way home about a Roe inside a plantation fence, so it got christened last night as well As for the .222 , the P8 works well, but most would on the smaller center fires anyway . That Maxim seems to get good reports as well
  7. Aye whatever. 30 yrs at it and I`ve yet to meet anyone with a decent reason for trapping live hares during the breeding season. Smells like bullshit to me, but you crack on bud, You asked on a forum how to trap a hare, but yet you`re the big I am hare controller. Or maybe yer 12 and on yer mums laptop. Whatever.
  8. In that case , you should try to get the job properly through the winter. No point failing to control them during the season, than trying to hit them during the breeding season. On the other hand, it`s really only Hares that I worry that much about. Some animals need controlled all year, but hares aren`t one of them in my book.
  9. Because they are busy, it`s spring time so leave them alone surely ?
  10. I moderate my .222 and it was the best move I ever made. Joy to shoot, and you could be in someone's garden shooting it and they`d be lucky to hear it.
  11. Your insewerance should have covered the window. Even with a police report it should still be covered. As for the neighbor, well, lets just say. he`d get his.
  12. Good ere init ?? lol How about,, must try harder, must knock doors like everyone else on THL.
  13. £60 Make sure they have done the job before and are not just an engineering firm that will stick your barrel in a lathe. Go to a gunsmith.
  14. That's what I imagine a fair few dogs would do Jim. My dogs give my ferrets a wide berth in the yard, less so when working obviously cause they are on the job, but I would assume a few dogs, seeing a stoat or weasel for the first time would associate it with a ferret, until it attacked them and they had to defend themselves against the devils feking pet, evil wee feckers that they are.
  15. Funny how certain people have not re-visited this thread.
  16. Hahahahahaha Good one. Bet there are a few who won`t apologise for the twat headed slagging.
  17. And here we go. The high and might shit, talkers out in force. It`s his dog, he feeds it, he does what he likes with it, and somehow I doubt anybody on here owns the perfect dog. Just big headed ignorant twats in my opinion.
  18. It`s a weasel. They are evil little fuckers,, as well I had one in the house and it went berserk, was trying to kill me and anything that moved. Strange point though. Would a lurcher, trained to work with ferrets not think twice about killing it ? I imagine my Whippet x would nail it, but maybe my collie x would have a second look. Not surprised a dog backed off. If they weren`t used to seeing one, a full blown attack would throw them for sure hahaha
  19. Looks OK actually Those Czechs know how to make top quality guns so I`d be interested in a full review.
  20. First cert include .243 and was open due to the number of different permissions. ALL certs should be open in my opinion.
  21. Yootha Joyce was a genius, Her and George Roper were among the best in the business, For that programme to have so many spin offs shows how popular it was.
  22. If I remember correctly, some woman made a claim about Leonard Rossiter, but it was discounted as someone just jumping on the bandwagon and using him as he was dead. It wasn`t an underage thing either. It appears there was no issue with him as far as I can tell.
