  1. Cracks me up anyone with a lurcher becomes a illegal hare courser when these signs go up??makes me laugh it’s usually ramblers with the biggest voice on the matter there the same people who move from a town to village/country side locations an moan like f**k about everything rural from cockerels crowing In the distance to mud on the road
  2. We get all the rural crime signs by us they just say something like police surveillance in the area for rural crime
  3. Mine was similar cross just less collie more running dog in how mines bred I’ll be honest she was alright at catching them no trouble at all just a fanny at getting the job done useless tbh for that job but a great edible catch dog Day or night but with a bit of terrier blood Was a game changer it’d be a choice well made that you’d not regret
  4. depends on what you want out the dog an if you want to stick with just collie type if just collie type a half x or 3quarters bred but if you want to keep to old school type then bedlington x of some sort usually adds nice to collie crosses that’s what I’ve found any way it livens the cross up lovely easy to train live with and work an tend not to have the negatives collies have an bedlingtons have
  5. If she’s the best you’ve had an best finder does it not make viable sense to find a stud with the same qualitys f1 or 3quarter bred to stamp a type bred for your personal needs
  6. We breed for good nose in ours none have had a bad nose to be fair thanks to the beddy blood an collie they all seem capable of finding there own gear but I think that is the disadvantage if people breed back to sight hound to many times in a continuous row it stuffs some of the Base blood by taking away to much the reasoning for the small drop of collie in my first gen on the grans side was to iron out the stubbornness as I already know f1s tend to be stubborn sods as a rule it worked for us the mating gelled they were really easy to train an none of that collie sulking the second gen that ar
  7. cheers mate so do we ?? Only time will tell though I’ve even bunged me own dog out from getting put back in the breeding from the first gen ?pretty ruthless hey
  8. I’m no expert this is just a opinion that’s worth nowt I’ve not line bred beddy greyhounds I’ve type bred we used to buy them in. but I’ve had a bit of personal experience with f1 bedlington whippets an line bred bedlington whippets An straight whippets but it depends how the line breeding in the bedlington whippets is bred they tend to be faster than f1s with a lot more variables in coat speed an hight build but there’s not a lot in it it’s still heavy whippet based but that all depends on what your breeding to what stamp/type an what for? with our bedlington hybrids we’ve breed to type
  9. We have our own little circle now mate with bedlington Lurchers that’s we’re my passion lays with the Lurchers I don’t have nothing to do with straight bedlingtons no more it’s just Lurchers for me but we will come to a stopend at some point we’re bedlington blood will need to go back in but I like to think we’re good for the next 10yrs or so what we got planned that’s if it works out but there’s always the option to jump on someone else’s beddy type to put back in that’s our thoughts
  10. No! Most definitely no mate. My waffle can be taken by any that wants to take it onboard it’s up to them how they take it if they want it it’s nothing more than what I see an yours is what you see they sound very similar don’t they? people can make there own minds up there not silly all they need to do is look around them at the state of beddy an beddy x world it’ll give them all the info they need to know on the matter an how it sits if people don’t talk people will think it’s all good there for attracting more money spinners to our favoured crosses pushing it down the road in the wrong dir
  11. I’ve seen a few an worked with a few that were regulars this was pre ban but none in recent times bar a dog I used as stud he was very good an worked very regular but I didn’t find this dog by my self one of the ex admin off the working beddy group found him he know exactly the type I wanted as I’d had a private chat with him I had a big old dummy spit out?? on the group asking what kind of fake ass group is this not one decent f1 bedlington greyhound on here an your all bumming them up I was dropped on what I still believed was the cream of the crop (just my opinion) I got exactly what I wan
  12. More chance of a quality bred litter of beddy lurcher to bedlington lurcher than quality f1s Mate There could be ten blokes on here all with greyhounds of various degrees of worth wanting to breed a litter of good f1s but finding that bedlington that’s not lied about or bummed up an actually worked an worthy will be the biggest challenge of all but all 10 blokes could easily put a litter of f1s on the ground if they wished as greyhounds are 2 a penny the fact that there in demand an no one is nocking litters out of decency speaks for its self in current times
  13. Morton have a sit down me old mate a cuppa t an a couple of biscuits your end up giving ones self a heart attack! your trying to school people what they already know I’ve give my opinion on my thoughts of bedlingtons based on my bit of experience for the nowt that it’s worth you’ve pretty much given back the same opinion just worded differently with a few fancy words chucked in to mine but I think many have noticed if a opinion don’t Match your own you get upset I’ve seen it many a times on here from ya fella I think the real person here looking for internet fame is your self fella by tryin
  14. Good chance it would of been worse I would of thought an lasted a lot longer
  15. Definitely fella he wouldn’t be able to think clear or rational that’s for sure...bloody cake eating vegan as well!
  16. Bloody bloke was running on chemicals by the sound of it
  17. Mate if there was no ban an bedlington x studs were none existent to put back in id probably be the same bull or Wheaton but probably bull/greyhound x saluki greyhound in to what I already have as I’ve a mate I lamp with who has this cross it’s a very honest dog. My cousin used to run a bedlington greyhound with a drop of deerhound in it it was a wicked single handed foxer he had a few good dogs in his time before retirement to just small busher types he said the dog he misses the most was this dog it was a proper character but easy going but could switch to a foxes worst night just on sight o
  18. Produced some good dogs tong for a bit of everything from good all round working dogs to obedience dogs to assistances dogs even had one I bred win the cross breeding class at Croft’s How ironic is that ????Mine I kept (the white bitch hasn’t really made what I’d hoped but I can’t slag her off to much as she’ll work to ferrets retrieve shot hare track deer an work the lamp mowing down rabbits she’s not keen at retrieving shot fox is her down fall although she surprised me a couple of weeks ago she’s starting to build a bit of back bone. Mate I’m no longer on fb or any groups the last fb group
  19. Wasn’t a straight beddy it was a f1 bedlington greyhound I used I used a real good dog from up Manchester way that had age an experience on its side wasn’t a bummed up internet dog the guy was as genuine a dog man as I’ve ever met the use of the dog was sorted as it wasn’t at stud by a ex administrator of the bedlington group that gets on here
  20. Honestly Couldn’t tell ya mate I’d heard enough waffle I jacked ?
  21. I had a rosset man when I was looking for a decent stud I got offered of the working bedlington group supposed working stud.f**k me I got photo bombed off one guy with about 200 photos of a dog stood with rossets an trophy’s from various shows I asked to see the dog work got no reply and asked for some photos of work an kept getting replys saying £250 stud fee I just said no thanks I want a real working bedlington greyhound that’s actually working the field not the show ring the guy got the hump with me in the end I said no proof not going anywhere near my bitch
