    I feel what your saying tank ?? We used to use beddy x as just fox dogs we were never in to breeding our own we would just buy another if we wanted one we had some good insight in to what a decent beddy x is all about our down fall was we never bred from our dogs but looking back on it now it’s on us for not breeding out of decent said dogs that could do the job like clock work.     Like down here now 1-2 you’ve had a good night on some spots. ferreting is a waisted exercise no point in even owning ferrets as it’s to easy to wipe them out in one area or you could spend a day ferreting for one rabbit That the dog catches leaving a Warren in my eyes it’s not working a dog if it’s not getting at least some runs in I know a lot of people give it the self certified pest controller line in this game making it sound as if it’s there job that they have to completely get rid of them but I’ve never been in the rabbit game to do my own dogs out of work more to get dogs a steady supp

    Mate no dig is the way forward I follow a guy on utube called Charles downing Ive done a small veg patch in my new back garden about 18x18 it’s mental the amount of food you can grow in a small space multi sown on no dig System it makes life so easy veg grows like weeds it makes it look like I know what I’m doing ? You won’t look back trust me once you get the swing of things

    January early February we were hit with it local my old land was hit regular with mixi it’s pretty sad tbh over the last 12-14yrs the numbers have been getting lower an lower we used to get out an have some decent days with the ferrets an some pretty decent nights on the rabbits on the lamp there was always plenty of runs to be had with a couple of dogs you could give them some good nights running it got to a point we’re you could do a dusk till dawn for a couple of rabbits spent most of the night walking miles an miles for runs at one point

    I see a thing on utube the other day about mixi in Australia there constantly making different strains of the virus to release to kill rabbit numbers off as they have had big numbers there but they keep developing strains of the virus because they get amune to the strains to quickly but it’s for sale to for land owners to buy to release with rabbit problems any were in the world they said it was sickening to watch tbh

    Seen no young rabbits at all local to me seen the odd adult about but I see more fox an roe deer than rabbits about at the minute. just before I packed in for the season it was getting noticeably dull on the rabbit front the tick over was slow my bitch was knocking them out there seat they weren’t offering no sport for her she was like what the fecks wrong with em dad why they not pegging it......full of mixy bad case of it as well we put a good few out there misery I can foresee this winter local being poo on the rabbit front but I’ll be traveling about this winter With the young bitch

    Looks good mate least you finally done it better late than never ??It is sometimes easy to just buy one. I started making a bush craft style knife today I recently scrapped out a old bench saw but kept hold of the blade an thought I’d make a knife or 2 out of it
