If you want your dog sorted out your going to have to pay the piper inform them that he won’t go without you but I’m sure they’ve heard that before. No point in playing about with DIY remedy’s or guessing what the problem is when they can get straight to the point an get the correct treatment for your dog

When’s everyone calling this season done? I’m calling it pretty much done after next weekend I think I may go for the odd lamp until the end of March as the crops are low still....think it’s been a great season we done very well all in all I’ve enjoyed this season bringing a youngster on looking forward to some decent summer walks an chilling out over the summer months with family may even go to a local dog working show if it’s on this year because of the covid stuff to catch up with a few old faces shows are not really my bag at all but it will me nice to socialise may even ponce about the sh

Sorry to hear about your dog pal never nice losing a dog I don’t know of any pups at the minute so can’t really point you in any direction but good look with your search ?? I’d recommend a Lurcher to Lurcher bred ive found collie/beddy greyhoundy mix perfect for any occasion they tend to be well constructed to take a nock or two with good feet trainable and adaptable to all forms of hunting an biddable they fit in to family life well I rate this cross as a good general purpose hunting dog that’s a master of none trier of all without going in to specialist dogs

Got spots like that my self if your there before 12pm won’t see a sausage have a shine at 2.30-3am your get a couple of runs. Had spots the opposite get there 9.30-10 your get some runs the later you leave it the less chance of runs one thing I’ve always been told is never think your the only person to run any land there will always be someone else at the same crack ??

I’m guessing rabbit fred ive seen loads of people buying rabbiter types an think there going to be layden with loads of rabbits because they don’t want hassle owning other types and how the law stands then realise the rabbits are more scarce than they thought unless there willing to put miles in then find there self snookered with a dog that they struggling to get work for

Could be something as simple as entertaining a field from a non normal way of entering that can get you between were the rabbits are wanting to be heading an in the position of getting at them why there out in the field for a run could be as simple as that.

Maybe it’s your method of lamping or how your lamping if you’ve seen rabbits there by hedges there be some kicking about they know your coming before you even realise what’s going on this time of year there no longer green that’s why there sat at the hedge line because they been spooked they probably outsmarted many a lamper an know what the lamp means

One of the best fox dogs I ever see an worked along side was only 22tts no special breeding behind it just a local bred dog that had had Insight from a pup being bought up around dogs that were expected to kill fox so the young un had opportunity to see what was expected of it when older it was given opportunity for a rag after a kill from 6months old but never expected to run just for some involvement.from 12months it was expected for the odd run an catch but had to be single handed with no help the bitch was completely tapped in the head lived for killing.I think all the best dogs I’ve seen

Got some flat grazing land down here the rabbits think there golf course rabbits they fly they take some catching good fun to try an catch all the same though

I don’t do none of that special sessions of just recall after recalling I think young dogs get board of it when young they naturally follow anyway when pups I use that as recall because there coming to you anyway it progresses to just out general walking I give the odd recall now and again on walks works a treat they soon learn what’s expected of them I won’t just call a young dog only when I want to put it on a lead pups think your taking there opportunity of fun away from them I just do random recalls people want everything all at once they think they can train it in there back gardens inten

base blood wise a bit of collie but mainly beddy is the most predominant in there. Sight hound wise greyhound is the most predominant there is deerhound whippet saluki in there as well but I’d think the latter is almost bred out now as it’s been a while since it was added

Good looking litter vicky all seem to be doing well for there selfs an what there owners are expecting from them can’t ask for more than that ??I think mines brilliant I really rate mine ive had some good fun this season probably the best season for the last 5-6seasons ?hopefully it follows on good next season

What do you mean as in a older dog nailing a pup for coming in to recall? I wouldn’t stand for none of that but if you had a dog like that it’d need to be put in place!
