That’s it season is done for us now was meant to lamp tonight as the last one of the season but don’t know weather I can be bothered tbh looking forward to just chilling out now after work in the garden with my kids and looking forward to some bbqs over the summer months. Enjoyed my young bitch this season had a good laugh with her bringing her on ive not really a bad word to claim/say about her she’ll do me spot on I recon there’s only one thing I could say that might effect her later on in life is she’s not particularly a fast dog but has a good catch rate considering she’s not the quickest

Do you think my dog would make a nice show dog mooch ?I’m game to ponce it in the ring for a laugh probably be the only dog in there that’s actually been worked this season but it’d be nice to represent the beddy cross class

I don’t believe that’s the case mate most don’t have a dislike for f1s most just feel there’s more to be had from 1/4 bred or multi cross dogs. Surly you must feel the same your self from the direction you’d like to go in next or you wouldn’t want to go in that direction you’d stick to f1. It’s all about trailering the cross to suit one’s needs ??

Quite a lot of people had a bit of success with handjob dogs over the years it’s the hate for his peddling ways that most including my self gauge him on his dogs in the 80s-90 were honest enough I know a good few people that had dogs from his kennels that worked well enough

If you want to just keep it straight deerhound greyhound an it’s 5/8 3/8 it makes sense to go back to a f1 deerhound greyhound if you want to keep type bred??Or you could go to another 5/8 3/8 then after that a f1 then after that a 3quarter bred. I try an do a similar thing with my Lurchers

I’ve been there in the past felt a bit soft keeping dogs that didn’t make what I wanted love got in the way it becomes hard work tbh they still need feeding walking an good exercise it becomes a burden if you work dogs as well plus have family life an a day job to contend with they take up any free time. The most dogs I’ve had in one time is 4 I’ll be honest I didn’t enjoy it as much it felt like a job. How I look at it now is I’ll only keep 2 dogs at any one time I try an keep to the type i favour I try an breed an keep my own I’ll not breed young out my dogs as I like a gap between them ie 5

Tbh chart he said he wants something nice in the mix that indicates he’s open minded an looking for opinions. with size he could mean anything from 25-32tts what ever cross he puts the deerhound/greyhound x to is going to produce speedsters capable of catching any uk quarry

I know I’ve already replied to this but it depends on what your wanting to use them for surly are you wanting to breed a specialist dog or a bits an batts type of dog?

Home them to a good pet home for life that will give them a good home have them done before hand to stop any one thinking of getting a dog to breed litters off. a dog that’s no good to work should never be bred off regardless of what good working lines it has worked for me ??Family member had my white bitch but I’d pts if I had to

same view as I now have mate there home has no guarantees there first year an half is to see what they all about if they got what you need/want or expect if they can’t do what you expect room is made for the next candidate that will do as you need/want or expect.no point in kidding your self in this game or excepting less took me a long time to realise that but happy with the bitch I got now ive no grumbles about her she’s no world beater type but very useful for me if it involves catching or killing she’ll give me her ?
