I’d practice recalling with other dogs on a walk as young dogs follow copy older dogs but wouldn’t call it training as such id call it just fitting in with day to day life an learning what’s expected of them i think it’s a easy way of showing a young dog tbh that’s a bit rebellious without it feeling overwhelming an as a training exercise soon gets in its head what the crack is but wouldn’t trying it with dogs that haven’t got no recall there selfs of dogs that are not obedient

there was a couple of smooth in the first litter an a couple in the second litter think it’s a 50/50 chance of smooth when pairing a rough an smooth together

Tbh it sounds a bit suspect dude comes on near end of hunting season asking for a bitch to run along side dog sort of sounds like someone’s after a bitch to breed a litter out of with the price pups fetching a premium

your get all sorts size wise an build wise your get loads of variation if it was me I’d go for the largest chunky pup with a long back an neatest feet then cross fingers that it all pans out they way you plan??Good luck mate sounds a good mix -
He is still about still doing a few litters but not commercially because of all the licensing for a commercial kenneling but bet he’s not still selling at £350 a pup there be the going rate??Bet he’s loving it now one pup sold nearly pays for his whole litter what he used to charge

I think a lot of people that are ? negative towards Hancock bred dogs are people that have never owned one they go off story’s told by a mate or internet gathered information tbh I think they can be as good as any if the breeding gels not all the collies will gel to greyhound he put them to I think a lot of the negatives is because the blokes a puppy farmer that don’t sit well with most people an the fact he don’t do any work with his dogs now that’s what put me off buying one as he’s strictly business in the supply an demand.I also think people have no patience with pups no more people want s

It’s irrelevant as most pure beddys are close related so there definitely still be out there its a small gene pool ?it’s on individual dog if they good or not it’s the same with f1 that’s another irrelevants it’s weather the individual dogs good or not.like I’ve said before id not own a f1 id rather put a good f1 in to other xs that’s proven in the field let other people take the gamble an do the leg work there as a f1 is the beginning first creation of a lurcher. Let’s not comment on this post no more mooch it’s a good collie post id not want it to go south for the poster due to us having dif

I’ll second that I thought it was quite polite an spoken subtle tbh ??
-
Tbh mate I think you played a blinder there ??You got the exact x you wanted at a normal rate £ an ended up with a dog really easy on the eye if the dog works how you expect it to it’s a win win situation as you got your self in a position that if you wanted to keep a line going of straight collie an greyhound your in that position??Gotta love a racey bred collie x

Nice dog that pal that’s a cracker! Don’t think I’d own a lurcher without a drop of collie in there somewhere in the breeding
