I’ve not got a line don’t know we’re this as gone ????I’d like to line breed my bitch ive got now contained line breeding but isn’t line bred she’s a 57 now she’s young 2yrs old so far she’s been pretty good in 2-3yrs time id want to have a pup out of her if she carries on ive said I’d want to start a line using her as the base to start a line for my self hopefully ie using my bitch as the base to a greyhound then what ever I keep back we go from there ie son to mother or niece to uncle see what happens ?? Every line gotta start somewhere

You’ve completely missed what I was getting at with your like the riddler! first you have put adding greyhound wouldn’t be what’s needed yet Most Lurchers are made up of a good % of greyhound as you’ve done it in the past adding it an ending up with thick in the head runners an as what I’ve got now isn’t a class act if something else has to be added your words so yet your saying you only keep courseing bred then go on to say 2/3ds 1/4 bred leaning to the saluki like I’ve said your the riddler because how the feck you get to 1/4 bred surly something was missing it wasn’t a class act bred from

Tbh I don’t think it matters what you use to the saluki greyhound beddy x or Wheaton x both crosses will produce the same thing fire,coat but your also get the variation in litters unless going to straight Wheaton or straight beddy technically producing f1 base x sight hound were you can try to eliminate the variables. With saluki greyhound x beddy Lurcher or Wheaton Lurcher you could produce anything. thick set,fine built, smooth coat, rough coat, little,large, well constructed,poor constructed think you just gotta do it mate to find out if the breeding gels if it gels happy days if it don’t

I gotta keep a bit of size my bitch is 23 3/4tts id be happy with her size again an a little more top end speed or up to 25tts I can’t be adding any more variables to the breeding if I can help it there’s a good few generations of Lurcher to Lurcher breeding in there I wouldn’t want to add another Lurcher in there now in fear of to much cloddyness or adding a small sight hound in fear of producing small dogs that restrict me I gotta keep a dog with a bit of size ready for anything type of dog but not to big an not to small but even if I go to a greyhound I’ll get some variation but least I ca

Only one way to find out mate Get it done?? I’ve always liked the racer bred dogs my self for my old land as no second chances were given so needed a racey bred dog but the land was more open land than what I’ve got now so need a dog with a bit more base blood to take a nock or two

Cheers mate??had some good fun on there it had had a big purge on the rabbit front prior to me getting it. at the beginning of the season once the crop was down by the 2 farm hands shooting but was told next season there leave it to me??By the time I got it there January there weren’t any decent numbers kicking about but there’s enough to tick over on few fox on there as well it has a very healthy roe population on there but I’ve been warned no deer or your off!
