    Depending on what there bred for don’t it like you say who’s at the end of the lead counts but if it ain’t in the dog it won’t come to expected grade. It’s gotta be bred from the best to the best to give the best chance that’s what a good stock man does he won’t breed out of dirt names alone an expect good dog men to make good dogs for him he provided sound stock to give the best chance to that dog man But I get what your saying tho an what ever what you look at it it’s 50/50 on chance

    Suppose it depends what your using the dog for don’t it you can’t expect a dog that’s only had a seasons worth of work to be graded as a good regardless of breeding the breeding is a miner some dogs take a bit of time to show there downfalls soon as you pile the the running on them ive alway gone on a year to grow them a year to show them an a couple of years for them to show there worth to you anything after that is minor detail my young bitch I have now that’d be like me trying to breed out of her lol she’s 2 in about a month she’s had a good season I think she’s good but wouldn’t class her

    Think your struggle to get anyone come forward offering quality bitches from decent stuff that are good in the field wanting to enter in to some breeding program most people are only interested in what a dog can do in the field there breed to a equal good dog that is known to them because they have to as it’s the only way to secure a well bred pup for the job to run on.     I’m guessing more hybrid vigour mate an creating a dog that can be used for a bit of anything that moves type you could say to lighten the frame of the bull bred up there’s more chance of a Sal greyhound being worked than adding a greyhound that’s not who knows tho ive seen a couple of saluki bull greyhounds run handy enough dogs

    You’d be assuming wrong ive not seen many work the best I’ve seen was a courseing greyhound bitch named lady that was owned by my cousins foster parents that was half decent then a few ex track dogs we used to get hold of an do a bit with in the mid to late 90s a bloke I used to live next door to used to run greyhounds they never used to last recently say in the last 10yrs a mate of mine as had 3 2are dead ones alive still but completely done for.     Tbh I think you’d have to be a brave man to want to try working a greyhound to any degree to me you sacrifice everything a working lurcher is meant to be for a dog that’s only bred for out an out speed with nothing else to offer

    Id wait till next season to get him/her going on the lamp no point in trying to start a green dog at the end of the season on educated rabbits on the lamp it’d just sour the dog or cause frustration .     You can still go in the vets it’s appointment only they come out an fetch you and your animal at your appointment time you ring in to tell them your there for your appointment they come an get you an you go in for your appointment you have to be masked up but that’s mandatory now any how it’s set up like that to not have body’s waiting in the waiting room the vets itself is business as normal. I went to my vets in the first lockdown last year when restrictions are a lot tighter than they are now
